FWIW - our local range charges .04 per empty if you want to dig in the range barrel.

I've got a dog that chews on river rock . . . .I imagine that lead would be easier on the teeth. :)

Jack - thanks for the advice on the air cylinder. I guess I know what to ask for as an anniversary gift now. :)
Take care,

I don't know the mold you're using, but I had to go to a 314299 to get decent groups in my Enfield. Seems like it needed a bore-riding nose. I've had really good luck with Trailboss and the same...

Just finished lubing a bunch for my buddy and I'm getting tired of fussing around with the pressure screw. Is the air pressure (lube) worth while on the star? I don't mind spending the money if it...

FWIW I wear muffs ALOT when working outside. (Tractor - mowing, brush hogging, etc, Chainsaw, wood splitter, weedwhacker, etc etc.)
I've found for "non-shooting" I like the Peltor "WorkTunes" as...

Don't sweat it . . .you didn't get lead oxide fumes unless you really had that pot incredibly hot . . .you do get some nasty fumes off of that stuff though. :)
I might get a cheap mask for this...

I had the same problem with Lee Dies in this caliber . . sent the sizing die back to Lee and had it back in a week (fixed) with a free .311 expander to boot. Can't complain.
I'm shooting mild...

One bucket full will give you PLENTY of ingots to get started. Unless you're casting the big monsters a 20lb pot for casting gives you quite a few bullets. 45-70's drain it pretty quickly ....

I figure it'll take 2 years before the news trickles down to the tire guys and they don't think they're sitting on plutonium. :)

FWIW I have a K98 that has a spot about 2-3 inches back from the muzzle (almost under the FSB) where there is a very noticeable "looseness" when pushing a patch through or slugging, and it's even a...

The hard lubes with heat have to be balanced too. (Don't ask me how I know. :) )

I love the Carnuba red once I've got the sizer dialed in for pressure and heat . . .but if I've got the heat or pressure too high then it's a mess. ;)
I'm using it for:
.357 Magnum
.45 ACP...

If I have any doubts I tend to drop them on the top of the melt after I've skimmed all the clips off . . if it floats it comes back out. FWIW

A few years back I placed a big order with keadbullets.com and was talking to the owner. He said that he had really good luck with sail boat keels. (was on his way to pick one up when I called) ...

I'm thinking if I could get the trigger on my M44 to be as nice as my pre-war 91/30 I could shoot the same type of groups but who knows? If it rains alot this weekend maybe I'll make up some more...

So I busted out the 91/30. :) (Been sitting in the safe since February and I hadn't shot it since I picked it up)

I hear ya on the accuracy thing . . . but an AR10 doesn't have a soul. :)
It's like comparing a glock to a 1911 . .both are great . . . .but . . . :)

314299 over 18.5 grains of 2400 is what my M44 likes to eat! :)

I too have wanted one for at least 10-15 years. I ordered an M1A last week and it's supposed to come in tomorrow or thursday. I'm like a little kid the week before christmas. (Mine's walnut, with...

I got some that were as big as 16 oz. one time. It was nice because you could fill a pot pretty quick and not have to do much skimming. I wish I could get my hands on some more.
