Nice!! I found a PH 5B after a semi long search. Not cheap, but a lot less costly than anyone in the U.S. was asking for one. And that is despite being purchased in and shipped from South Africa.

Funny this came up. A bunch of us at our range that shoot CBA bought M91 Calvary carbines. So far the .268 NOE round nose bullets w/ all the Loverin style rings w/ 9 grains of Unique are showing the...

Very nice. I am a fanboy of all the Finn Mosins never really liked the Russkie ones. However; I have liked the M38. Much more than the later M44 carbine. I think any good cast load in a Mosin rifle...

I am a fan of IMR4227. Shoots good in all my military rifle calibers w/ cast.

Put a pic up. I know some of the Swede lovers we have here will be able to figure it out.

Thank you. I was wanting a good diopter sight that the Swedes used for modified iron in CBA military shoots. The most common are the Solodirn and the Elits. I started looking around and heard of the...

Oh yeah. It is on the rear receiver. Basically the same location as a M1 Garand’s, M1903A3’s, M1917’s, and a No.4 Mk.I’s peep sights.

I am on their waiting list for one…. It’s been a long wait. I hope we both can get one sooner than later.

Thank you. I needed to hear good results. I do realize they are not the same. What I meant to say is that they do the same performance/accuracy wise as my IMR4227 or A5744 so don’t even bother w/ the...

I am going to experiment w/ VV N110 and N120 in my Swiss K11 and Finnish M39 using Saeco and NOE 315 bullets. Anyone have better luck w/ one over the other? Both do about the same? Can’t tell the...

6.5 Swede. I am on the Criterion waiting list. Close to the original .276 Pedersen.

I have tried all different kinds of primers over the years to make the best load for cast military matches. Standard primers, match primers, and magnum primers from all the big name companies. I have...

I had good luck in my M1903 w/ 47 grains of IMR3031 and a 110 grain Sierra HP Varmiter bullet. Very accurate out to 300 yards unless you were pushing a lot of cross wind. Low recoiling too. I copied...

For me and cast rifle: IMR4227. In a pinch 5744/Buffalo Rifle or maybe Unique and/or Red Dot.
Semi auto Pistol w/ plated or coated bullets for USPSA shoots: HP38
I use IMR4227 w/ great success in my military rifles shooting cast. A great powder!!!

Got it. I am shooting old military rifles at 100, 200, and 300 yards. So, I am guessing somewhere in between your requirements. I get where you are coming from w/ the 1,000 yard shooting. Every...

Hello,
Want to do a little experimenting. To those who weigh their cast bullets and brass what is your cut-off for non use? +or- how many grains? I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!!!

Local Scheels had 16 bricks of CCI 34 large rifle military primers this evening. A buddy of mine spotted them. $80 a brick w/ no limit. Haven’t seen that many primers in one place w/ no limit and at...

I have a 88 Commision that was reworked by the Turks. It shoots the Lee 175 grain round nose cast bullet w/ 16.5 grains of IMR4227 very well.

I have had good luck w/ my M96 using a NOE mold that makes a 140 grain round nose bullet w/ lots of lube grooves(Loverin design?). I use 16.5 grains of IMR4227.

I have never tried them in an AK or SKS however, I used the X-treme bullet 123 grain plated for 7.62x39 in a Mosin and a Lee Enfield doing the 60% start load for H4895. Didn’t do too bad.
