My experience with 5744 in my 45-100, 45-110 is the velocity is much greater than the load books say it will be.
I just wish they would make the 45-2.6 I have had on backorder for three years.

Have you got brass for 45-110. Extremely hard to find brass. I have had 45-2.6 on backorder from Starline for almost 3 years. 45-70 would be easier to get .I think John Taylor on here does this kind...

I gave up on bottom pour and use a ladle using 4 cavity molds.

The best for cheap shooting is cast your own bullets from scavenged lead in a 9mm or 38 Special.
Primer .09, powder .04, bullet .03.

Good luck on that back order. I have had 45-2.6 back ordered for over two years.

Shooting a firearm into the air would portray firearm owners in a bad light whether blanks or not. We do not need any more bad press.

My sister saw two dogs get into a pasture with a herd of Elk. She said the result almost made her sick and She grew up on a farm.

400 Whelen as big as you can go. Still may have trouble with headspace as there will be almost no shoulder.

I would definitely try that bullet. What make of rifle? I think a Springfield 1903 conversion would be the cat's meow. It would a lot like my 40-65 and 40-70 st and my 40-70 BN and my 40-90 BN.

One major safety rule We stress at matches is if You drop Your firearm do NOT try to catch it. Let the range officer pick it up. Grabbing it in the air no telling what you are going to grab.

I trim more to get uniform length for crimping. Trim to shortest case.

Have never paid hazmat for Black Powder, smokeless powder, primers are anything else when at LGS.

I read the old British double gun makers shot off a bench from a standing position. They had to be accurate when regulating the barrels. I shoot my 375 Ruger standing from a bipod.

Finally found one at Tulsa gun show. Just like what I had as a kid. Have it up and running.

Finally found a Crosman 1400. I had one when I was a kid. Can not imagine how many lbs of pellets I used up. Grew up on a farm . Had to get a couple of parts and it is now working.
