You will find that a 115-120 grain plain base cast bullet will shoot very well out of the Marlin 32-20 at 1400-1500 fps.

I can give you some Lyman 225438s. No gas checks though, they shoot well at low velocity without.

I seem to recall Lee Jurras doing pretty well with 180 grain 44 bullets.

240 grain suit my needs.

Are you turning your work under the nominal thread size before you start threading? A 9/16 male thread should be well under .5625 over the top of the threads.

I have a 2-3 year old 1894CL that shoots real well, a nice rifle. You will like it a whole lot better if you buy new Starline brass right off the bat.

RCBS, or nobody else can tell you that cause we don't know how long your brass is. Maybe they will tell you what the length is from the nose of the bullet to the crimp groove and you can figure it...

That sight will hang off the back more with an 1894 than it will with the 1895 in the picture. It is still workable, just realize it isn't going to be the same.
