I had some of those in .45 Colt. Functioned just fine in a rifle, but at 80 yards, the bullets were moving so slowly that I could actually SEE them just before they hit.

I use an electric hot plate with a 6" cast iron skillet. I never have more than a 3 pound coffee can of range scrap and the hot plate and skillet work quite well.

I use the LEE perfect powder measure. It is very consistent and accurate. I never used anything else. Never felt the need for anything different.

Identical to what came with my LEE single stage. They work quite well.
You will like that Tisas. I have the 1911 A1. 45ACP. I had never owned, or handled a 1911 before I bought it but I was impressed with the quality. I really need to give it a workout again.

If it is too hard, the bullets might not obturate enough to engage the rifling, which will greatly effect accuracy. If it is too soft, it could potentially leave lead deposits in the rifling, which...

A little soap and water. Clean it real good. You might be surprised.

That load will work just fine, but you don't want the wads.

I always knew that I would get to be old. I just never knew that it would happen so quickly.

I use the 20-1 lead from Roto-Metals. BHN of about 10. Never a problem with leading, and if you're shooting steel targets, you can retrieve the spent lead and re-use it.

#9 shot is good for less than lethal varmint control. Such as stray dogs and cats.

I know for sure that at least some of our kids will want my semi-autos, but they don't seem to be interested in my cowboy guns. One of my step sons really likes my Ruger snub nose .357, and I would...

I am 73 years old. My get up and go has pretty much got up and went, but I am currently in the process of carving out some new steel targets made from scrap steel. I may or may not ever get them...
Forum: Boolit Lube !
SPG lube works just fine. .38 special, .45 Colt, and 44-40.

Personally, I have never experienced the need for a lead thermometer. I just let the cast bullets tell me if it is too hot or not hot enough.
The heck with all of that odd-ball stuff. I just want some 44-40 brass.:-):-)

The drips are caused by crud getting into the spout. Even with what I consider to be CLEAN lead, there is still some impurities. I have not found a solution that is 100% effective, but periodically...

I am blissfully ignorant when it comes to aeronautics or pretty much anything related to navigating in or on water, so I just read the stories and fantasize.

Wife was given one of those KINDLE things as a retirement gift. We both have tried reading books on it but neither of us like it for that. She has some word games that she plays on that thing,...

YES! Blue Loc-Tite. That is what I use to keep ALL of the screws tight on my single action army revolvers. Keeps them tight but the screws are easily removed anytime necessary.

Finger tight is NOT good enough. I still need a pair of pliers to get them tight enough.

At that price, I'm glad I found an alternative.

We wanted to donate fresh zucchini, cucumbers, and tomatoes from our garden. We were told that the recipients probably did not know how to use any of that stuff.
