Anybody have one? I'm considering grabbing one but heard about early problems with feeding.

I'll add to the Red Dot it's twin promo as the above poster said.

I really like red dot b/c it's cheap but I can use most of the choices. Have gotten a lot of 800x on sale and have used it in a wide variety of cases.

Based on the article, I would assume they're measuring bullet energy at 1000 or 1200 yards to quote a 10 times lethality number.

Gentlemen, please! It's not difficult to determine who wrote the bible and whether it has changed since it was written. And "who wrote the bible" is a topic worth devoting time to. There are soooo...

I went with 44 mag but would be equally happy with 35 rem. 30-30 is good too!

Whoops, I forgot to count shotguns...and if you count 32 H&R, 32 long and 32 short along with 327 fed, that brings my total from 11 to 16! I'm really trying to limit the number.
My favorites are...

Rolling block is my favorite for the simplicity of design and accommodation of prone shooting.

I went with red dot...my pistols and shotguns take priority, but I struggled between that and unique. It's easier to load subsonic suppressed rifle with red dot so I went with that.
You are correct but I've only shot the two I mentioned side-by-side. I suspect this is the reason Elmer Keith preferred the shorter barrel...POI.

You really had to see that coming...I was thinking of jumping in myself until I saw your post. :kidding:
The only "downside" to 7.5" barrel I have found is the heavy boolits shoot much higher than in a 4 5/8".
I guess somebody forgot to tell me...I have a SBH with 7.5" barrel. Most accurate revolver I've ever shot.

I'd recommend 100/18/16 by weight to increase ignition speed. Mixing with alcohol may help as well. But, the most important part is to start with everything ground as fine as possible.

Of all the brands I've tried, I like Lee best for the money.

After having sampled all manufacturers I usually buy Lee now. No complaints.
And yes, pine will get chewed up pretty quick. I use a piece of hardwood and a rubber mallet.
Straight wall cases are tougher to resize than bottleneck cases. That being said, I have sized thousands of straight walled cases with the Lee "whack-a-mole". For size, weight, and simplicity, it...
I chose 44 mag since that's my favorite to cast and load for, but overall my 12 ga is the most useful and versatile.

I have the same experience as ironhead, 77/44 will feed anything. Likes boolits much better than j's. 4.5" vs 10" groups at 200m.
I use a healthy dose of 4227 to get about 2400fps with the Ranch dog 190 gr gaschecked. You can search for RD data in the archives.
