I'm following this discussion, because like Engieman, I sorry miss the 4759. It was the perfect powder for me. Squib loads, regular loads all shot well. With not having access to all the different...

From a clean burning standpoint, the dirtiest was the Bullseye. I short indoor 38/55 and have good accuracy and very clean with Trailboss.

ALWAYS use a brass range rod in the field and at the range. Mine is in four pieces threaded on all ends for multi purpose. The wooden rod is functional but is used more as decoration.

I use it in my 38/55 for 25 yard indoor competition. I use 6 grains behind a 255 grain fn boolit. It shoots very well.

Exactly why I stopped buying from them. Their prices are good, but the shipping is terrible.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out on this as well. I would love to reduce my cost also. I shoot in indoor single shot matches that require low velocity loads. I shoot a Winchester High...

I have used the "older" RX7 with very good results. I've used it in my .222, 30-30 and .375. Very accurate, but can be a bit stiff in max loads.

@ One Gun Andy.....I love 4756 and used it for years. Nice clean pistol powder and reduced loads in rifle. Always had good luck with it accuracy wise also.
I have been shooting indoor single...

Make sure you use "food grade" mineral oil. Costs more but more suited to handling food. Also there is usually a stone attachment that fits on the turn knob on the top/back of the blade housing for...

I use a .445 ball and a 0.015 cotton bed ticking patch with 65 grains of fff in a Green River barrel. I shoot mostly targets and get good accuracy to 75 yards.

Round ball in muzzleloaders should be pure lead. That will correct your problem. Patch should be 0.015. The moulds are made to drop the round in pure lead at the size stated on the mould. Jhickdog
My father has a 9mm Steyr and I would like to make him some ammunition to shoot through it. He has some original ammo, but that is berdan primmed, so I dont want him to shoot it. It is a WWII broom...
