Assuming the correct hold over/under, every one of those shots would be a dead squirrel. That's all I really ask of an air rifle.

I have one of those pellet seating tools from ages ago. Almost immediately stopped using it. Mind it only got tested on one rifle.
The groups if anything got bigger. The other curiosity was, using...

Couldn't agree more. But I've enjoyed the air guns so much I never really considered the money saved. Can't shoot the powder burners at
home but have access to land a very short drive away with...

Very interesting report Don. I've read of the Crosman pellets leaving antimony in the bore enough to need a lot of shots to get accuracy
when switching to a different pellet and I "seem" to be...

I'm hand pumping and will eventually get a compressor or tank but in no hurry. As stated above, the real work out is the initial fill.
Once you're up to pressure, depending how low you shoot it, you...

Sounds like the adjustable objective typical of air gun scopes. Air guns are generally shot at much closer distances than powder burners
so the scope has parallax adjustment. The distance you have...

Now casting slugs is a whole other game. Not tried it myself because I can use powder burners anywhere a slug would help me.
Take a look on the GTA site for some specialized air power info

Yeah,.... been down that road. The barrel band helps but you just have to be really careful not to bump the barrel at all. Not really compatible
to field use. Kinda doubt the pure lead will change...

Doubt you'll be disappointed. Likely it'll grow on you and you'll want to invest in a nicer rifle on down the line

That's great with your cast pellets. I've just stuck with the store bought offerings. Not sure I even shoot enough to try casting pellets.
The slugs on the other hand..... if you get them shooting...

For the cost of a mold, you can buy a LOT of pellets. I would at least try and get some pellets from the mold you're interested in to test before buying a mold. Pellet shooters can be picky about...

For the price you probably won't do better. Suggest you do a little home work on the spring piston type rifles.
Lot of folk don't care for their unique double recoil.
I see you're in Alaska. I...

I'd tell you, if you have the $$$, Skipping the budget route won't disappoint you. I chose the budget route and am not exactly
disappointed either. An initial $300 got me a rifle and pump. I enjoy...

That's a keeper if it shoots such an assortment of pellets and slugs so well. Now I've had my 1st PCP around six months, finally got
it shooting to my satisfaction, looking at buying the next one.

That skill level, and add in the really good long rage powder shooters too, is way beyond just what the equipment can do.
Reading and evaluating all the factors that are needed to come together for...

Use the same Lee bullet. Just works with 12.5 gr. Red Dot. Never bothered to try anything else

Of the two you linked, only the Hawke has the adjustable objective lens. That can help get a clearer image at the closer air gun ranges.
Having said that the AO can be a nuisance if you trying to...

+1 on the Hawke Airmax. My springer broke two airgun rated scopes, one in less than a tin of pellets. The Airmax scopes are great scopes

Some years ago I had a buddy with a CO2 shotgun made in Philippines. If I remember it was 28 gauge. He shot round balls from it.

As you know, a lot of products are unobtainable these days. Seems the whole world has used the "pandemic" as an
excuse for every problem or just to do nothing. This may be why you can't find to gun...

Likewise I've only had the one Benjamin "Nitro Piston". Likewise it has broken two air gun rated scopes. Strangely enough,
after breaking the 2nd scope I put the cheap 4x it came with back on it and...

If you really want to scope it, I've been very pleased with the Hawke Airmax on my springer. There are some pricier ones
but I got one for around $220. Don't go cheap on a springer.

Congrats on the new gun. Since you're in no hurry, you can spend time telling us as you get her set up and how she performs

It certainly is no quicker than filling by hand and besides, my plain hand pump is much more portable
