I'd charge at least 2K for a restock. There isn't anything wrong with the stock that's on it. It's an old gun with a new barrel. The stripes are real, not faux. I'd slide a big fat recoil pad over it...

Everybody is going to lose their *** in the stock market pretty soon. I have always made good money buying and selling old guns. The key is buy low, sell high. It ain't hard.

I tried BP in .405 winchester M95 but the twist is too fast and you can't get enough velocity with black powder to suit the twist. I ended up with mediocre accuracy. I assume the .444 would be the...

My marlin in 38 55 shoots a 255 grain .381 bullet well.

I see better prices on obsolete calibers at gunshows than I do anywhere else.

I used to see Finn surplus ammo 20 to 25 years ago at gunshows. They used Nickle plated bullets on all the stuff I saw.

I have around 8K. I paid $36 a thousand for them.

It's been 15 years since I shot a Finn rifle , but you really need to slug your bore to figure out what you need to shoot. Most of mine slugged .309 and shot a .310 diameter lead bullet in the 200 gr...

I don't use gas checks often, but when I have they worked fine. Most/all gas check designed bullets don't carry enough lube, so there's that issue you have to deal with.

High pressure and low velocity. Can't find a use for that combination.

So the theory there is if you don't have a 1911 you're good to go?

I've got the brass but haven't found a good rifle yet. It's on my must have list.

I have an original '95 in 30 06 that shoots everything I have tried well, both cast and jacketed. Jackets I use are 165gr to 180gr spire points and lead goes 185 to 210gr Lyman #2 with a gas check....

Everything I look in the mirror I see my dad staring back at me. Horrifying!

So if you're inventing electric ignition because caps are going to be too expensive in the future, wouldn't it be easier to buy a lifetimes worth of caps now and not worry about it? I have 8k...
