I've put 3 deer down with a Knight Wolverine inline, and my last was with a Cabela's hawken. The inline is easier to clean granted the short barrel I didn't get optimum accuracy till i switched from...
I've been reading up on lapping lee molds, and have seen where some valve lapping compounds are too abrasive even the fine grits. I was thinking some before dragging out of bed how old tooth pastes...

I'd say go with a mosin for overall price. Surplus ammo is still out there, prvi makes re-loadable casings, go with rcbs or hornady dies. I have the Lee dies, but had to use the .310-.311 from a .303...
The mold makers probably use a boring bar, that moves the cherry cutters .001" at a time off center. Some one posted a youtube vid where he made one of his own and cut a mold for a gahendra rifle...

I've mixed paraffin, petroleum wax, and olive oil in even parts to lube mine. you can pan lube or at about 80 degrees Fahrenheit plus temperature you can pack it in the grooves with your finger.

I only bash stuff that I have had problems with. With that said I'll list those..
Lyman .223 two die set that stuck more casings than i care to count back in the early 1990's.
Lyman .270 die...

I did something similar back in the spring. I used a wire brush and drill though instead of sand blasting. I'm turning my Lyman crusher from orange to their newer black finish.

The Finns have such a wildcat. You can find info in the vitavourhi powder reloading manual.

The only gripe about the 2/47 I bought from Widener's last year is the firing pin spring needs replacing. The stock, barrel, and bolt was in fine shape. I may stretch the spring and re-temper on my...

My wife gets beeswax from a sewing supply store for her thread. I think it's Miceals as someone else said.

Yahoo groups has a casting hobby group, they can also tell you how to make various furnace setups. The main draw back to smelting anything more than aluminum and lead, to reach the temperatures...

The 2A series were built as 7.62 NATO. I don't think they were used long before the indian version of the fal got manufactured in decent quantities. I can tell you when i got mine from Rose's back in...

The czech tends to stick in the chamber of my two mosins, so I've started pulling it to reload in brass casings. I also keep the tips for my smle. Also they will work for reloading the 7.7mm arisaka.

I remember when Midway done free shipping on anything over 25 bucks. I have no problems paying freight, but when I get hit with double charges on an order with a back ordered part because they have...

I tried turning some on my mini lathe. Threading the die body straight about drove me nuts as my threading bit was out of commission. I'm getting some 4340 tool steel soon to have another go at it. I...

Can a person lap the lube sizer die to bigger than the .329 and keep it uniform? I've had quite a few sooty case necks and I attribute it to under-sized cast bullets.

I know 5/16" l copper is non-existent in plumbing applications. You can prolly make a mandrill to straighten roll tubing in smaller lengths though.

Some folks at another forum have been waiting since January for 7.63x45 czech dies from lee. The gentleman coordinating that got an email from lee saying 9-12 months on the lead time.

I've got three deer with my Knight Wolverine in 50 caliber. 300 grain CVA buckslayer slugs, 90 grains of FFFG pyrodex, and rws caps didn't fail me. My main regret when I wear this one out, Knight...

You can reform x54r in steyr brass, but prvi makes the brass and bullets for the rifle. Ammo marked hornady on graf's sight is actually prvi repackaged. Lee smegged the pooch on the mold and lube die...
