Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
I figure that’s just the alloy that gets them the quoted weight.
My bore is .379 and I have a lee resizer that will get me to .380. I have wheel weight lead now. Looks like Tim/pb combos or 50/50...

Forum: Cast Boolits
I'll switch from bullseye once I use up the 3/4's of a pound that I have. Any powder recommendations, maybe unique?
Forum: Cast Boolits
RobS, yes I'd love to learn how to speed up the aging process.
Also, if I water drop my boolits I'll get them harder right?
I'll also load up the .357 cases and see how that works. I was...
Forum: Cast Boolits
I'll cast some bullets this weekend and run my calipers over them. I was using .38 special data from the Hornady 7th edition manual, it had a max load of 3.7 grains bullseye, but lists no pressures...
Forum: Cast Boolits
.38 special brass for these loads, but I have .357...just less of it.
Forum: Cast Boolits
I forgot that there are .38 640's. I have a 640-1 chambered in .357 magnum. I just wanted to start with .38 loads to cut my teeth on.
Forum: Cast Boolits
The sized boolits literally dropped through my cylinder throats, so I can go bigger and be fine there.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Just to be sure...I want bigger than .358" diameter? what if my barrel slugs at less?
I didn't clean all the copper before I shot the cast boolits from the revolver...but I think I did in removing...
Forum: Cast Boolits
Thankyou all for the suggestions, I'll try slugging the barrel this weekend.
So what do you guys think was causing my leading?
Also is there any reason that this revolver may have trouble...
Forum: Cast Boolits
I have yet to slug anything as I have no soft lead balls... could I cast some soft lead boolits and drive them through?
ETA: The boolits freely slip through the cylinders with no resistance.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Sorry, I meant to include my alloy info and forgot. I used clip on wheel weights and air cooled them. I cast them nearly a year ago.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Hello everybody,
I've been at this forum for a while but just started finding time to load some boolits I have cast. I have a smith and wesson model 640 that I am loading .38special plinking...
Forum: Boolit Lube !
Will I still get enough lubrication on these bullets? I don't mind cleaning the barrel a bit more this time, I won't make this mistake again.
Forum: Boolit Lube !
So I loaded up some 158 grain boolits from my Lee mold into .38 special cases for my workup loads (only 12 cartridges). Being my first tie trying the ALOX I didn't let it dry overnight, and I...

Heh...I tried that, got taken down as it was a "WTB"
Forum: Boolit Lube !
title says it all. I have a Lee .38 (358-158-RF) mold. Can I use the bullet lube that came with my lee resizer, or should I go wax based?

We've had hybrid crops since before WW1. And the GMO's aren't dangerous.
My bet is on a virus along with all the stresses imposed by chemicals and migratory beekeeping practices.
I've been a...

I asked this recently, I have read many of the classics and stickies. My search though...returned hundreds of threads, none of them relevant to my question.
Just saying.
