My Spanish 98 slugs .327 and I use the Lee 329-205-1R that drops at .330 from my mold. I usually size to .329 with a Lee sizer and tumble lube. What's not to like?

Thanks for the tip Leadman but B Square has discontinued this base (#15010). I tried but couldn't find one.

Thanks Larry for your advice. I see now how the Leopold or Redding base fits. I was hoping to use the Weaver type mount as I already have the rings and they are much less expensive but................

I have a large ring Spanish 98 Mauser marked "Fabrica De Armas" , "La Coruna" and "7.92 cal.". The mfg. date was obliterated by a drilled hole.

About a year ago I bought from Grainger's several 1 lb. rolls of Kester lead free solder. Here is the alloy:
97% Tin, 2% Copper, 0.8% Silver and 0.2% Antimony
Is there any reason that I shouldn't...
I know that brass doesn't have to shine to produce accurate ammo but I like it clean at least. In loading for my 9mm I've found a load of 2.6 - 2.8 gr. of Bullseye and a Lee 124 gr. TC boolit produce...

My eyes ain't what they used to be and peep sights have always worked pretty good for me, so I've decided to install them on my CVA Hawken 50 cal. percussion (octagon barrel). I'm thinking maybe...

Yes, as a matter of fact, I load pb for the SKS. Be sure to scan the Sticky by C.E. Harris (Practical Dope on the 7.62X39) about loading for the SKS like Bob said. Good info there. Also "Cast Bullet...

Some of the absolute BEST info I've ever come across on shooting cast in a milsurp (Cast bullet loads for Military Rifles" and "Practical Dope on the 7.62 x 39") was posted by you here as a "sticky"....

I'd like to get the opinion of those that have used these primers. Are they any good?
I'm gonna be ordering primers soon and I know nothing about them. Thanks in advance.

You guys are AMAZING! Thanks for all the generous offers, both of information and brass. It's no wonder this site is so popular.

Brass for 7.62 x 54 is very hard to find AND it is expensive. Can I form this brass from another cartridge and if so, which one? I was told it could be done with 45/70 brass but it too is expensive...
Forum: Cast Boolits
I think some casters just put too much LLA on their boolits and of course, it takes much longer to dry. I find that if you use enough to turn the boolits brown or cause a "run" down the side, you...
Hey Matt, let me know what you find out about these molds. If they are any good, I might look for one myself.

Thanks BruceB, this tip is appreciated.

I'm with Hotwheelz on this one. I don't size 9mm or 40. I just water quench 'em, tumble w/LLA, dry and load. Has worked fine so far

Hi Mugsie,
If you've found an inexpensive source for these bars, I as well as others would be interested if you care to share your source.
