I was trying to avoid having to buy the wads in one place and the hulls in another. If I can't get an answer about the Fiocchi with the magnum primers, I may have to.

the "recipe" says to use 3" Cheddite, Fiocchi, or Federal Gold Metal hulls. Precision Reloading is out of the Cheddite and the Federal hulls they have are one-piece, so apparently not "Gold Metal"...
Yeah, the tumbler shines them up nicely, doesn't it? :)
You may want to consider destroying that 15" barrel before you get yourself in trouble with it. It'd be a shame to survive a home invasion and get hauled off to jail for an unregistered SBS.
Yeah, but that flat point also makes quite a hole through deer on the far end. I bagged three more this season with exactly three rounds from my single-shot H&R. I almost saved the scapula from...
I just happen to have two Lyman 525 grain slugs and a dial caliper here at my desk... The front measures .684" and the back at the skirt measures .674".
Funny, the line they told me about my back ordered copy was that they were finishing up testing with the new plastic sabot... I hope they hurry up before I go off experimenting and break something.

That's good of you to limit how many boolits you're asking for. I guess 40 is too few and 80 would be over doing it.

I had problems bigger than that when I was trying to use un-sized TL-style Lee boolits (hey, the manual said I could!) and the Lee FCD. The seater die didn't crimp at all, and when I pulled the...

Hmm...
My Quickload for a Lee 255RF at 1.300" OAL and 13.5 grains of Blue Dot says it'd peak at 43,000 psi and give 1,524 fps in my 21" barrel - quite different from 35,000 psi and 1800+ fps. ...

Would alloying WW with some hard shot increase the antimony content and make the resulting boolits more likely to 'splode at high striking velocities?

Seriously? Lube affects the accuracy of a load? I'm ignorant enough not to know, I wouldn't have thought so. I was just under the impression that one chooses a lube that prevents leading and isn't...

Nope, just regular assorted once-fired range brass... The predicted (NOT measured) pressures for all 3 of the super duper loads I've tested have been right at 35,000 psi and no issues with the brass...

Part of the fun is seeing what I can do with the ACP, that and I have tons and tons of brass. Besides, I'm already building a Mosin Nagant in .454 Casul... Push feeds from the original magazine oh...

I've also launched 185 grain Gold Dots to 1,850 fps. I think I could get that to 2,000 ft/sec but the pressures would be 10 ksi higher, maybe more than what the brass & primers will stand up to...

Check out this thread on THR - I posted the pattern results I got just using plain old .45 LC brass. 212 grains (169 pellets) of 7 1/2 shot,...

I'm a 34 year-old man, just how am I supposed to know what consistency "cold cream" has?

I've been trying loads to get Warp 9 in my .45 ACP Lee Enfield rifle. The next one I'd like to try is 15.5 grains of Power Pistol with the Lee 452-160-RF bullet, Quickload suggests it'll do 2,100...

As for WALLENBA's comment, I wouldn't doubt it, my alox-lubed boolits can hold pressure. I had a batch of Lee 45 TC bullets where the bolt connecting the powder throw linkage came off somewhere in...

Heck, it DIDN'T take much more than 30 or 45 minutes to push size them through the Lee .452" sizer. Tumble lubing them was pretty quick, too. Now as for loading them, that there is exactly 1,146...

Are you saying you could reload all the boolits in my photo in a half an hour? In what universe?
Forum: Cast Boolits
Sized 'em, re-lubed 'em - problem solved. Now that I don't have to second-guess my seating and check them all with a caliper, things are going a lot faster!
Forum: Cast Boolits
Yeah, here's a couple hundred reasons I didn't want to have to size everything. Oh well, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. At least the Lee push-through sizer is a breeze to use. ...

Yep, I wrote down the wrong OAL's in my original post (fixed them though).
Yes, there are several headstamps all mixed in but the screwed up ones don't seem to favor any one brand.
I should go...

After searching some of the threads about the Lee "Factory Crimp Die" for 45 ACP, which I'm using, I hope this thread doesn't turn into a Lee bashing fest...
