Tried blow tubing, and did not find it that effective. A single Ballistol/water patch thru the bore works well for me.

I'll stick with my cast bullets. Know the hardness, and what type of lube is used.

Cut your Lemishine cost in half with buying pure citric acid available on Amazon or in some retail stores. The MSDS - the government mandated Material Safety Data Sheet lists the ingredients of LS...

For my two Pedersoli 45-70's, I do not resize the case prior to loading. After hand seating the bullet, I run the loaded case into the sizing die just enough to remove the flare the expander put in...

Pedersoli does a fine job.
Not the hand finish of one of the US makers, but the barrels and workmanship are fine. I bought one, a '74 Long Range, thinking I'd play with it to determine if I...

I get my jacketed and cast bullet info from Hodgdon's web site.

+1 A little paint and you're good to go.............

I may go for many weeks without cleaning my bp fired brass; however, running thru my Thumler's B with soap and citric acid, it comes out fine. Have never seen the need to soak brass while shooting.

Ultra easy and inexpensive to make your own with the basic ingredients being the beeswax, Crisco or lard, and some kind of vegetable oil. Making your own also gives the opportunity to adjust the mix...

Unless you are shooting a bench rest rifle for bugholes in competition, there will be no accuracy difference with mixing brass. Brass and nickel cases are fine mixed.

I've found that beeswax, a vegetable oil of some kind, and Crisco works as well as anything I can buy.....

Ballistol has an additive which allows it to blend with water. Mineral oil by itself will not blend with water. Have heard that tool cutting oil works quite well as a bp cleaner.

I use about 36 grains of 2F and a .06 veg wad for my 45 Colt loads. Have used 3F, and a lot more recoil, and to me, not fun to shoot. The original factory loads used 2F, but held a little more due...

I run my Thumler's for about an hour with citric acid and the dish soap I have on hand and about 4 pounds of pins. Shiny like factory brass......no. Clean.....yes. It just gets dirty again, and...

The hardness of the bullet you're using, is, according to their website, BHN 21, which is more than double what I shoot in my Colt SAA which has never leaded with a soft alloy.

In my 45 Colt, I use 2F, which is the equivalent of the original load. Bullets can be dipped lubed, and I use a veg fiber wad. For cylinder pin lube, Permatex AntiSeize works well. Have gone 200...

Same here. Have never slugged a barrel and have fine accuracy with no leading issues.
Permatex AntiSeize works great as a sprue lube, and have never had any issues with lead build up on a mold.
