stem slides in the case. Plugged case is the only one that is fixed.

Don't get discouraged, when you do find the load combination I'm sure it will be worth all the effort getting to that point. Getting help from those that have been there will save lots of time...

If you ever can find a Lyman 311335 might give it a try. Have tried all the bullets you mentioned and they shoot well in my rifle, but the 311335 was exceptional in my rifle sized .310

Have read that the Lyman 311284 was designed for the 30-40. Have one that is sized .311 shoots great in my Krag. Oversize molds are available, NOE is one source.
