If I'm not mistaken, the .450 has lower case volume so that data should be perfectly fine in a strong .45-70.

Sounds great! I hope that your experience is typical, the 92's are certainly a slot machine. Only problem I see is that the R95 costs the same as a Henry or a nice JM Marlin around here. Not sure how...

That sux, I hope they got it right this time. Pretty much any gun and gunmaker is a roll of the dice. I love my JM Marlins but there is no warranty or factory service whatsoever for them. I bought...
Ruger Super Wrangler and it's awesome. I actually like it more than the Single Six I used to have.
I'm still shooting my SD9's and they don't miss a beat. I can shoot them as well as my Glocks and they like the same loads that all my other 9mm pistols like. 3.2 grains of Titegroup under an Arsenal...
Wait a sec, I just checked and Missouri has an Alternative Methods season for anything other than cartridge rifles. Looks like Archery is still only Archery. But, an Atlatl is now considered archery...
Friend of mine in Missouri told me that they now allow anything other than a centerfire rifle during what used to be strictly archery season over there. I imagine the Striker would be a great choice.

If the rifle was a beater then I would say rebore to .250 or .300 Savage. Anyhoo, number 1 prices just keep going up so you could probably flip it for a profit easily.

Glad to hear of your good experience with the Cimmaron 94. I would love to have one in .38-55.

I knew what you meant, just thought it was funny.

Sweet! Would love to have one of those rebored/barrelled to .250-3000.
Is the Striker built on a regular rifle action? If so, I would get an SBR stamp or a 16" barrel and then be able to use it as a rifle or pistol.
That's a good and very overbuilt .38 you have there. I had the exact same one for awhile and it was a good shooter, only sold it because I wanted something else. If it was the rare adjustable sight...

When I read "Cummaron" I immediately thought of this dude who used to brag about his Z28 "Cumarrow".

My old Single Six was really accurate with shorts. Need to try 'em in my Super Wrangler.
Sometimes I get those or little tiny streaks of lead at the end of the bore. I just clean as normal and they never cause problems.

I love my Henry single shot .45-70 and so hope they make one in .38-55 someday.

It just don't feel right to put a gun away still dirty...
The Taurus is similar to a Ruger in that it is all coil spring and uses a transfer bar. But it has the sideplate and general architecture of a Smith.

This 100%. Much as I love the old stuff and wood/steel, the new crop of "cheap" rifles is just hard to beat for the practical hunter. I think of the Axis as today's 788, a low cost rifle that can...
