Well, I thought that I should not trade the M1A. Now I am convinced. Thanks for all advice.

Linstrum. You are right about matching numbers. I was thinking about Garand.
Forum: Military Rifles
Linstrum, you are correct. I was thinking about my M1 Garand when I said not all matching numbers. My bad.

I have a Springfield Armory M1A. Thinking about trading it for an AR 10. M1A is not all matching, but I got the history on it, date of manufacture and so forth. Which one do ya'll like the best??
Got a couple of cc pistols. Just want a full size 9mm with hi cap mags to mess around in the pig woods with. I'm still gonna carry my 41 mag...but I might run into a whole herd of piglets.....

If you were going to buy a new 9mm pistol today, and didn't want to pay over 800 to 1000 dollars, looking for accuracy and reliability. Prefer wood and metal, but would consider synthetics. What...

I normally use a heavy roll crimp on my rounds in this caliber. What are the problems I am...

Don't mean to sound rude, but I think I would just stay home that season if I were you.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I suspect it is going to stay as in. I enjoy shooting it like it is now. Besides, I already have 3 45-70s and a 45-110. I need this one to relax with.

It was just rechambered. I have been using it with cast boolits and it shoots very accurately with them. I will probably leave it as is and just use it occasionally.

Would this receiver be suitable to be rebarreled to 45-70? It has been converted to 30-06.

I've been leaving mine in. Just wondered what everyone else did.

Do you guys leave the thermocouple to your PID in your lead pot when you are through casting or take it out?

Been out of circulation for a while. Back now. Glad to see some familiar names still going strong.

Gould boolit is good for hogs and deer also.
