I think soft lubes do better with leading than hard lubes. I have moved to PC to just eliminate the issue & the smoke. I size 0.357 to fit any 9mm I have. Generally clip ww alone work fine at 9mm...

Only time I add tin is making LHP. I use 20-1 for bullets up to 1200fps or so in my handguns.

I have had the gc taken off several pistol molds. Its just not needed imo with PC today. I can run 125gr @ 1400fps in 357 or 250gr @ 1400 in 44mag & anything under that without leading & good...

IF pure lead & verified lino, I find 4-1 works just fine, especially if you PC.

Pure lead could work in low pressure rds like 38sp & 45acp but accuracy may suffer on shallow semiauto bbls. Just have to try it. Even a small amount of tin, desirable for getting good molds fill...

The Lee 147 is a very good bullet & my 6cav puts a lot of them out pretty quickly. I only PC. I also have a Saeco #910 4cav that is my go to for competition. the RN is just belt & suspenders.

Use a larger than needed bore brush. Fill the chamber with Kroil ^ let it sit a bit.

Clip ww have always been a bit vague. Stick ons almost always pure lead. Exact composition really isnt required, just work with bhn. Cast a couple & test them then add alloy to harden as needed.

My buddy is a welder & made me a smelting pot out of a 10" dia section of steel pipe, pour spout on the bottom & threaded rod to close off the spout. It works great but I only do about 60# at a time....

No diff than casting for any handgun caliber. I like the Lee 175TC. I size 0.401" after PC.

A proper taper crimp just removes the flare. If you are taper crimping enough to prevent setback, you are deforming the bullet. Neck tension prevents setback, not taper crimp.

You know that WST is inverse temp sensitive. So be careful working up loads in the heat & then shooting in freezing temps.

I load for everything though very little shotgun, just not worth it. They are all diff but the same. Pistol is easier, but more steps. you'll be fine if you have already done rifle.

IF it wont melt, I would say zinc. I would think any non zinc alloy is going to melt above 700deg. maybe a Babbitt?

Yes it will but easy fix, ditch the lube & use coated lead.

If your range has a plate rack bay, that is where you can get a lot of 95% useable alloy. Just pick up the flattened bullets, jackets are usually gone.

My buddy gets free lead sheeting, a couple tons of it. So i now have access to it for free thru trading.

Try a tray covered in parchment or non stick foil. Not sure how the comm guys do it in volume.
