I melted a good handful+ of already PC’d projectiles. The burn off smell of the PC can be a tad powerful. Ventilation is helpful.

8.5gr of Unique is perfect for 240gr. For the 200gr projectiles I’m running 7.0gr of Bullseye for some all day shooting.

This is my second time with the Atkins type diet. Low carb, high protein and veggies. Down from 240 to 188 and off all meds. Hard to maintain during the holidays.

I have a ton of Bullseye and worked up a load for a 340gr projectile. 11.3gr - all day shooter. Also use Trailboss for some really soft rounds.

Never used 4895 in 45-70 and looked thru my online charge tables. I saw the same 45gr Lee min charge. Most all other charges were for the really heavy pills, not lighter 300gr. For range fodder...

I don’t load for 45 colt but I believe it requires a roll crimp into the bullet cannelure / crimp grove … the bullets you are showing do not have a defined area for a roll crimp, those are tapered...

Couple of tricks I use for shake / bake method:

- warm the bullets - just a few minutes while the oven heats up … really helps coverage. Use an old cake pan for this.
