I have been able to get large pistol magnum and small pistol magnum primers. Large rifle are easy to find, large pistol kind of easy to find, small pistol and small rifle are exceedingly difficult...

I prefer the Smith, they fit my hand better, and they shoot better for me.

If I was a collector, I'd have old Colts, they are beautiful revolvers, just wonderful to look at.

Did you get the serial number, I can look it up in my book, give you a rough estimate.

I sort out the Winchester, Federal, and Blazer. I found that setting the powder drop to say Winchester brass is beneficial on my 550.

Use the start load data and see how they shoot, maybe a little less than the start load since they seat a little deeper.



Agreed, those look like FMJs that have a hole drilled in them.

DougGuy did a 1911 barrel and a 629 cylinder for me. They look great, can't wait to get them to the range.
