Who cares what some computer simulator says. I'm speaking from real world killing animals. It makes a difference, but it isn't earth shattering by any means.

    That's .075". Having a 44 expand to .750", a gain of almost 1/2", now that is significant.

Comparing a Keith SWC to a WFN, the WFN makes a bigger hole, but it isn't much. Maybe a 50 cal hole...

Of course mepat size matters. If it didn't, we would all be using small flat noses. I think the discrepancy is in the relatively small differences within a caliber. A 44 Keith is ballpark .275" for...

He seem like a good guy, just super dry. Happy, but no humor at all. I really enjoyed his gun building videos. He never claimed to be the expert, he just showed you how it went. His shooting videos...

I never found new s&w triggers to be that great. I do have an older model 57 that is really good. Any revolver SA trigger can be made very good with some work.

As far as I know Dougguy still fixes...

They might not be as consistent as a Wilson, but they are at least as consistent as an RCBS. They can vary in length about .002", which is more than acceptable to me.

That's not a Lee Quick trim. The quick trim is a die for a press, and a cutting head. You put the brass in the shell holder, raise the ram, and hit the trigger on the drill. No threading at all.

209 primers vary in both diameter, and taper. American 209's are smaller than European 209's. Some are close enough to not matter. A Rio 209 is the largest I've used. They are about .004" oversized.

I've read about them, but I'm seeing absolutely no reason to be using one with today's Federal paper hulls. Maybe in the past paper hulls would last a little longer when new, I don't know. It really...

It was only one. A 45 colt SAA, and he was shooting 45-70 bullets out of it. I'm not sure I've seen what the powder load was, but I would guess it was all of the 2400 that he could. He then stepped...

I had an old, 2nd gen as far as I know, Contender that was hard to open. It had the cross bolt safety. It turns out that the locking bolts on the barrels are not all interchangeable. Once I got the...

It is possible to reject it before you do the NICS check. It can be a pain since you then have to send it back, and go through that whole mess with the GB dealer. That's really the best way though....

Anytime I buy a revolver now I won't go without feeler gauges. I always check barrel to cylinder gap, as well as endshake now. Also specifically for the new S&W, I'd run a snug cleaning patch down...

It's not trash, it's the best reasonably priced case trimmer I've used. The only other one I'd rather have is the Giraud. I suppose dirt gets inside the die, so what? Blades do not dull fast. Mines...
