Yep, 245 grain and I'm using Winchester primers and Starline brass.
I've been loading a Lyman 429421 cast from WW alloy with 2400 for years but 2400 hasn't shown up locally for over a year, and neither has Unique. Yesterday I found a 4 pound jug of W296 at the LGS so...

I've got roughly 50 pounds of the 7-1 that I need to use up. I was using it to cast the GC'ed boolit I mentioned earlier for a Henry 44 I no longer own. I figured it was too hard for a 45 because...

Now for my next possibly goofy question of the day. I'm currently casting for a 45 ACP 200 swc, 230 TC and a 44 mag 429421 swc and a Lee gas checked 240 swc. The 45's are range loads and the 44's are...

I was gifted a full 1lb roll of solder over the weekend. The box says "Sterling premium quality lead free solid wire solder". Backside of the box says "contains tin, copper and selenium", but it...

I put a Skinner Black Gold peep on my Henry Big Boy 44. I then had to go to a Skinner Brass front sight because I couldn't get it down on target with the stock brass bead. I also removed the factory...

Same here. A 44 Big Boy and a H001 22. Love 'em both.

I have a Nikon Monarch on my TC Encore mounted with Burris Signature Z rings. It does a great job.
Mine was a 6" nickel S&W model 19. Bought it the day I turned 21. I wish I still had it.

Gives new meaning to BOOMER!!, doesn't it? Congrats on the buck!

Enyaw, from what I have read, a .431 bore is common for a 44 mag RIFLE, but a revolver is .429-.430.
10mmShooter, I have had mine since last September. I didn't do a lot of load development for...

I wouldn't have any concerns shooting a .432 thru my Henry. In fact, I will be in a couple weeks when I get my new .432 sizer die back. Henry's tech rep told me their bore is .431 and my slugging the...

Hey Snuffy, I had a x4 bypass in March of this year. Had a Widowmaker (main artery 100% blocked, everything else 70-90%). Caught it with a stress test so no heart attack. 11 weeks off work and no...

Ok Red, here's my two cents. I have a 44 and I put a black gold Skinner peep on mine too (damned bi-focals!). The Lyman 429421 will not feed out of the mag tube in magnum brass. It should out of...

I keep reading about guys on here that are sizing their 44's to .432, ,433 and even a few .434. The largest one I have seen (and own) is a .431. Where are the bigger ones coming from?
As has already been said, a Keith boolit at 1000 fps will do all you need it to do. Plus they are a LOT easier on the hands/wrists than the howitzer rounds.

Dubber, it really is. It looks like a mirror now. I am considering lapping my Henry 44 rifle, but the idea of sticking a boolit half way up a 20" barrel is a little more intimidating than a 4 5/8"...

OK, so since the weather was nice and very little wind, I decided today was the day to do this. Loaded all my stuff in the truck and went to the range. I started at 3 grains of W231 and started...

Back about 15 years ago the guy that got me started casting gave me 10 pounds of linotype. He suggested I mix it with wheel weights. So I mixed it 8 pounds of coww with one pound of lino and air...

I do have some other boolits I could use. I have a Lee .430 push thru sizer that hasn't seen the light of day in years. A quick shot of WD-40 and then push thru and wipe them off. Size wise these may...

The bore slugged at .429. Just another reason this Ruger is driving me batty.
Also, according to the instructions with my LBT kit, the boolits will increase .0001 to .0002 in diameter once I imbed...
