I have a couple thousand 100 grain cast bullets from Missouri Bullet Co. that have a Brinnell hardness of 12. What is the max. velocity I should shoot for in my .32 H&R Ruger Single Six? I prefer...

Assuming the same PCP rifle in the different calibers (Benjamin Fortitude, specifically), which would be the quietest - 177 or 22?

Thanks, gentlemen. I'll order some from Bullshop.

I don't cast - I'm looking to purchase already-cast bullets.

Does anyone know where I can find some Ranch Dog 100 gr. .380 bullets?
Yes, 3.2+ grains would be snappy, for sure.
I'm looking for the lightest load that will push the bullet out if the barrel and make it to the target.
Thanks for that info, particularly the part about adding 0.2 more for the larger case, as the H&R cases are the only ones I have currently and loads for the shorter .32 cases are really of no...
What powder or powders are safe to download, possibly lower than book minimum for 100 gr. cast bullets in a .32 H&R case? I'm looking to load up some pip-squeak loads.
Will Trail Boss be a good...

FWIW, tumbling the bullets in Walnut media did little to nothing to clean the gunk off. Denatured alcohol cleaned it off fairly well.

Yes, I know, and it's crammed waaay down in there at that length. I don't like the looks of it.

Thanks, gentlemen. I was kinda thinking myself that about the width of a penny was looking good.

What do you use, then? And how clean does it get the cases?

Just back the bullet seating stem out of your seating die and crimp it after you seat all your bullets.
It may have been designed for women, but it certainly has some smooth lines and a nice looking "melted" slide and frame that should be nice for concealed carry.
Use BRONZE wool, not steel wool. You can order it from Amazon for around $5, or pick it up at Lowe's.
Correction: I meant to say BRONZE wool, not brass wool.
Aha! Good idea on the scale. And mine's a 5-0-5 too, instead of the 10-10-10 (I must've been thinking about fertilizer due to it being Spring time!)
