The 1909 Peruvian is essentially a 1903 Turk. It has standard full length dimensions on the outside, but uses an intermediate length bolt on the inside. So, a Peruvian bolt should fit a 1903 Turk, a...

Searchtempest. Do a search for lead bars or lead ingots. I just fond a guy with 200# of scrap lead, in 1`# bars for $1. Really cheap, even if I do have to drive a little ways.

It's his 125 gr 9mm mold. #359-125 As for alloy. Unknown mix but I've never had problems using it in his ALuminum molds.

Did my first casting using my new Mix brass molds today. The large 458 diameter mold did very well. Unfortunately, the 9mm mold will require the hot and fast method. I rejected almost all of them...

I was pretty sure that was what was being talked about, but I wanted to double check. The penta points seem seem rougher, when using a finger to slide across. They will require more work.

Are you talking about polishing the cylindrical body? Or the taper for the hollow point? Asking before I do my first casting with a Mihec brass mold.
Mihec does ship quickly. I ordered on Sunday and they arrived today. Really hard to beat that.
Unfortunately no. No Hammers in stock. Mihec has a 15% off sale going and I needed some HP molds.
3 new Mihec Molds for casting Hollow Points. 9mm, 357 Mag, and 458 for 45/70 and 458 Socom. Now for the weather to cool off so I can cast.

Pacific Tool & Guage has a couple of different styles. I have a couple, and they do look nice.

I have a Bear Creek 458 Socom barrel, and a Tromix 458 Socom barrel. The Bear Creek slugs at .457, and the Tromix at .458. I've had a few chambering issues with the Bear Creek, which may stem from...

Have you slugged your barrel yet? I have two 458 SoCom barrels, and they have different bore sizes. The Bear Creek barrel is very tight, at about .457, and the Tromix is right at .458.

Santa Barbara Commercial Mauser 98 action. Plenty strong enough for a 308 Norma Mag, There's a good chance that "Spain" will be imprinted into the rear tang on the side below the wood line..
That's the first MP mold I bought. It does drop some nice boolits.

Having 2 Springfields, from my experience they tend to have generous chambers. Again, as was suggested, do the "plunk" test. Taking the barrel out of the gun, and dropping a round, or two, into the...
I measured the cylinder on my Mod 28, and it’s 1.63” long. Nominal length for a .357 Mag case is 1.29”. Add the .351”, or so, of the crimp groove to the nose of that 176 design, and it looks like it...
The “176” has a shorter front end, from crimp groove to end of the nose. It is more than likely designed for the large frame S&W revolvers which have “short” cylinders. The length is short enough so...
Changing calibers is relatively easy, provided one starts with a 45 acp. Going to a smaller caliber means a new slide, with appropriate breechface, barrel, and 9mm ejector. Caliber change is straight...
I have the Lyman 356402 version. 40+ year old 4 cavity mold. Unfortunately, it's one of theirs without the shoulder. So, it doesn't cut nice, neat, round holds. Other than that, it drops well...
With the 610 you may be able to rechamber the cylinder so that it can take the 10mm Magnum. That would give you the capability of shooting 40S&W, 10mm, and 10mm Magnum by using the half moon clips.
This is probably what you want.
