Can you add a set of the penta pins to my order besides the large pins? And I do want the mold to be a Plane Base.
Thanks,
Phil

Brass 4 cavity Large HP Pins .360 diameter. Any change of MiHec making the squire HP pins for this one besides the two styles of round pins?

I would start off with the lee 255 round flat and then move to the 270 SAA boolit, I shoot both out of my Rugers and Rossi leaver with good results.
I picked up mine from Tanners Gun Shop, he usually has a few new and used. I would also try Claytons and Quinbys Gun shops as well.
Take a look here, they have good break down of the model numbers and listng of serial numbers to what years they were made.

I bought a Rossi 4 years ago and have put about 1500+ rounds through it with no issues. For the price, I can not complain. For tuning and mods, look up Steves guns.

I went with Rossi 92 with a 24" barrel in 45 Colt or as some call it 45 Long Colt. The reason I went with this choice is because it lets me load with black powder as well as smokeless with different...

Trimming the spring or heating it up a bit will work fine. If you want to do a few more things to it while you have it apart, Steves Guns has tune/tips DVD and parts kit.

For the 45 colt, you have the 45 Schofield or the 45 Smith & Wesson as some will call it, and in some cases you even have the 45 auto rim if your cylinder has the spacing for the thicker rim.

Yes, and you can also use powdered mica for case lube as well.
You can order powdered graphite from NAPA and or any other auto parts store.

I had a good shoot with it on Saturday, I put 20 minies through it, and it was a tack driver at 25 yards.
The only issue I had with the musket, was the nipple was rounded over and caused the cap...

405, you are right on the barrel, I don't know why I wrote 1862. The barrel is marked 1863 with an VP and eagle stamp, with no other markings.
I forgot about Bannerman's Arsenal, they may have...

gnoahhh, every thing looks good on the out side, but I still need to brake it down and do a wipe down and inspection for cracks and such.
405, thanks for the information, it helps in deciphering...

When I was up in Cross Fork for snake hunt, I came across a 1861 Springfield musket and made a trade for it. Other then some one at some point cut the barrel down 8", it is pretty good shape.

Funny, I was looking into see what it takes to get a sport pilots certificate, and it seems to be pretty much straight forward and half the cost (about 3K).
But the one thing that surprised me,...

I think you are feeling the extractor latching over the case's rim at that point of the round entering the chamber.
Stevegunz has a kit with a new spring that fixes that issue. He also recommends...

Na....I think he may have shot it. Like maybe 60 times with Hornady leaver revolution ammo.
Now If you can excuse me, I need to change my frozen bag of peas for a fresh one............:groner:
I would go with the Blackhawk...The adjustable sights are worth it and you can load them pretty hot.
I have Rossi 24" octagon with a Ruger Blackhawk 4 5/8" combo. I also have a Redhawk with the 4" barrel as well.
They all handle the Lee 300gr GC LRF pushed with H110 very well.
Yea, they are the plain rosewood grips on both. The stock plastic Blackhawk grips have to the worst grips I have ever encountered. Now I have small mits, and they were even to thin for me to get a...
