Midway has it in stock now for $19.22 a pound in cut pieces. I believe this is what you are looking for.

The last time I got pure tin from Midway it was in wafers (small pieces ). Made it easier to add just enough for fill out when I made up my last batch of #2 alloy.

You can try Midway USA. That's where I've always gotten mine.

My books show the 250grn for 45lc . The 230grn for 45acp.

What are you loading for? 45acp,45lc ? Handgun or rifle?

Try sizing to .451. I found that diameter worked better for me when loading cast bullets in 45acp.

Or go with a Lee classic turret press. I use the four hole turrets. I do seat the bullets and crimp in separate steps. I've never had any problems reloading for the same calibers that you are.

I have one in .54cal with both barrels. I've been having so much fun with the 1 in 32 twist hunter barrel that I have yet to shoot the round ball barrel. It's still in the box. This rifle is accurate...

Yes you can use the Holy Black in 44 spec and 45lc. Lyman puts out a manual listing black powder load info for muzzle loaders and cartridge guns. Both 44 and 45 are listed.
