I just found some Winchester 7.62x39 brass with small primers this weekend. It's out there.

I run a magnet over all my brass. Started finding brass washed steel 9mm cases about three years ago. I've also found many 5.56 cases.

Sorting is an excellent idea.
If it's range brass I'd hit it with a magnet before doing any sorting. There are brass washed steel cases out there. I found over a hundred of them a couple weeks ago...

Don't waste your money on the Lee manual. I have the second edition and they don't have any data for 30-30 Winchester using cast bullets in either 120 grain or 150 grain. They do have data for 160...

Looks like you have the sawdust and candles in a cold pot. Try melting the lead before adding either, you should get better results.

I would try opening the valve on the 4-20 a little more, it could be that you're not pouring fast enough. Lot of good information from other members here already. Try changing one variable at a time....
