I also try to size & lube within a few hours. Anything over 24 hours and they are harder to run through the sizer.

Looks like dirty alloy to me. Are you fluxing well and with what?

I know a guy that was playing basketball and went up for a slam dunk and his ring caught on one of the net hooks. He came down with only a third of his finger! Ouch!!!

It's pretty easy to plug them with #9 shot and also easy to poke out from the inside with a curved dental pick. And no, I have never scratched the inside of the die doing that.

I have used a single edge razor blade and carefully shaved off the lead on the bottom of the sprue plate. After that regular use of Bullplate lube will make the rest disappear.

This is the quickest and easiest method that I have used. Though I believe the Chore Boy pads are copper and make sure they are NOT just copper coated steel. Easy magnet test to check.

Just tried this. Got the lube (50/50) soft enough in the microwave to press into the chapstick tube. The problem is applying it to the boolit lube groove (.32) without getting all over the place and...

Or if you can find a Lyman 410459 mold, it's very good.

Sounds like you didn't let the ingots cool long enough. You might try to find some more molds so you can let them cool longer between filling. Shouldn't be any problem with the alloy.

Much cheaper at pet stores.
