The slow burning stuff is best suited for heavier bullets and I woul choose the 7mag, 30-06, and 8x57 with heavey bullets.

I have 2 molds from Dan and I really like the 300 gr swc.
The biggest thing to be careful of is the gas check shank dia. I wish he would cut them just a couple thou bigger to get that gas check on...

Even if you shot em with a ping pong ball a lawyer is going to chase down the ambulance and make it look bad for you. So I recommend and do carry, a 155gr swc loaded with 5grains of Titewad at about...

With a 200gr bullet in a CAS load I use 5gr of titewad and I'm getting 775fps with a standard primer.
I have come down to a 155gr swc bullet since starting the cowboy action shooting with my Ruger...

I can't compare my stuff at 2400fps and a bhn of 21 in a 7mm br sized at .285".

I have a 300 gr swc in a bore rider and a 330 gr rnfp with a big metplat.
Both with gas checks and they work great. I shoot about an 8" group at 200 meters with either bullet.
I wanted to go fast...

It happens to me when I don't take my time seating my bullets. I get shaved lead and it shows up later.
Might be worth looking into.

To me its a waste of time to lube the bullet after.
1. Its a mess to deal with.
2. The lube only needs to be in the lube groove anyway.
3. If you tumble lube after sizing you will get small dings...

From my experience, water quenching the bullets will give you a bit of hardness, but as time goes on they will soften up by themselves.
So run them again and water quench again when they come out...

Is it a barrel and foreend only?
If so its too much. Especially for a stock thompson barrel.
I've shot IHMSA for years and its a good caliber. The cases will have to be annealed very well to...

Once you get them loaded with some good cast bullets, send them to me and I'll take care of them pesky things for you.

I would like to know the bore and bullet sizes prior to shooting. I will cast the same solder alloy and fire them to compare the results.

I say less tin the better. The stuff is so expensive I am trying to get away with the least possible.
It's hard enough to make a buck selling lead bullets anyway...
If one adds too much tin to...

I've been using the DGF spray lately and it seems to help. All the info given sounds good, but i'm running a production machine that doesn't allow me the luxury of heating the sprue plate as...

Anyone used the 50/50 mixture for removing lead build up?
An old timer told me about this and I'm wondering if it has much merit before trying it.
I would like to find something to soak my...

I am curious if you got your sizer working by now.
If not, examine your bullet carefully. If the mold does not fill out completely, the sizer will always push lube past the imperfections. Nothing...

Try 3.2gr of titewad and a wsp primer. I shoot them in my Ruger.
I make these for the cowboy shooters and myself. I shoot them in a 32 s&w case with 1.0gr of titewad and a magnum primer. This...
