I have been seriously thinking of getting a Ruger 10/22 Air Rifle. It looks like a fun plinker with lots of accessories. Hopefully someone here has one and can offer some insight. Thanks.

I used the Crosman pellets in .223 with excellent results. I had my local gunsmith open up the primer pockets to accept shotgun primers and it works great.

I have a Ruger #1 in 257 Roberts. Using 5 grains of Unique with an 85 grain cast bullet works just fine for me. Since Red Squirrels are legal all year out here, I'm never at a loss for shooting.

Finally got to the range and 5 grains of Unique gave me 1 inch group @ 25 yards. Good enough for plinking.

CH-4D makes a taper crimp die for 32-40. If it doesn't work, grinding the bottom would allow it to crimp and a spacer could then be made for FL crimping of correct size cases. hope this helps....

I use 15 grains IMR 4227 with a 170 Gr Meister cast bullet in a new Nfg Miroku Winchester Hi-Wall without any problem.

I shoot those bullets in a Ruger No 1 and seat them to the forward most groove as that's the only way they will chamber. The bullets shoot just fine for me.

I agree, nothing beats a B & M . The trick is as has been stated here several times is to be consistent when using it.
