Well, its a good question. Don't know what else to add other than 10-20 reloads in my guns doesn't seem to be producing a problem. But, as we all know, each gun is a law unto itself.

I have not done any research, but I don't think you need to drill the flash holes. Ever fired an empty case with a primer in it? The flash comes all the way out the barrel, so I think it is likely...

Just a shot in the dark, but do you use Aspirin much? It tends to restrict the ability of the kidneys to remove Uric Acid from the blood and can lead to Gout (I know, it happened to me, stopped the...
My kids gave me a Cimarron 1911 for Christmas. They do lots of Cowboy Shooting guns and such, but I didn't know they did a 1911. Its a reproduction of the original WW I version of the Colt 1911...

The list is definitely not complete (or even close). I donate every year by having my bank send a check and I have never, ever, made the list.
Another nice mold is the Lyman 452-374. Drops around 230 grains and has a nice elongated round nose. The Lyman cast bullet handbook has 45 acp loads for it.
In my Win '94 30-30
100 grain RN 5.5 grains at 1196 fps
110 grain RN 8.0 grains at 1320 fps
Lyman 311410 (130 grn) 5.0 grains at 1050 fps, 9.0 grains at 1550 fps
Lee 309-170GC 6.0 grains at...

I have also-- but its tricky. Many of the ball rifle powders want pressure in order to burn well, and do not download well, so you need to fill most the case, then the velocity is pretty high for...
I shoot 30-30 and 32WS mostly 1000-1500 fps-- lots of HP-38, Titegroup, W231. Target shooting, not hunting, so I don't need the energy to be very high
Components are always a question. I have a spreadsheet that does all the math to tell me when I will run out based on my normal shooting habits. It tallies primers, alloy, and powder to make sure I...
I like to keep enough in stock to last through any one Presidential term

I'm surprised that those would lead-- with that half jacket sliding along behind scraping the barrel. At one time I was given a box of 100 half-jackets that I shot in my 30-30 and they didn't lead...

A friend who is in the glass business advised me: "If you have to smash a window to get in the car do the front windshield! It's harder to get to the door but the glass companies make mostly front...

That's what I do. Stand the bullets on their bases 50 at a time and slide the tray into the toaster oven. Takes really steady hands for some of the longer skinnier ones, but its well worth the...
Number 2 I've done before, and it was very easy. I used a drill press and just the right size drill. I wouldn't do it without the drill press. The drill press allows you to make sure everything is...

Beeswax, paraffin and vaseline (the last, like the lard or tallow, to get whatever hardness you want) works great in almost anything
Reminds me of one of my grandsons and his first exposure to a rifle. About 10 yrs old and skinny. Fired one shot and fell over backwards. I was thinking "oh-oh! he's not gonna be happy!" The boy...
Yeah-- the ramped barrel is the tricky part. Otherwise there are plenty of good ones under $600. My kids bought me a Cimarron 1911 for Christmas-- well under $600. I didn't even know Cimarron was...

I average 50 rounds or more every month, year round, through my 1909 Argentine Mauser, my 1936 build SMLE and my original issue Royal Air Force Webley (1918 issue). Same for my Garand-- but it's a...

It lifts straight up and off-- maybe something is keeping it from moving?
If you really want to just use one of these powders I would go with the Titegroup load. The velocity is higher than you need for CAS, but Titegroup at this level of load is a fast burner (I use lots...
Don't know about that-- but you could powder coat. I powder coat all my plain base bullets (rifle and pistol) and have no problems at any velocity. I know some shooters put gas checks on bullets...

I also do not flux during casting sessions. One additional help is to turn down the heat on the pot as low as you can while still getting good fill-out in the mold. this reduces the formation of...

We have two grocery stores here that sell guns and ammo. One even has everything for reloading and the best local prices on primers. I didn't even realize that's unusual.
