There are plenty of handling marks on the stock. Just nothing big enough to show in the photos I took.

The serial number on the receiver and the stamp on the barrel both date it to July of 1943 they seem to be original.
Forum: Military Rifles
I plan to, I just want to make sure Im looking at comparable rifles. Any features, manufacturing stamps, ect I should look for? Or is it pretty much just an 1903-A3 Springfield and its all condition...
Forum: Military Rifles
I've got a Remington made 1903 A3 that was supposedly made in July of 1943.
Condition seems to be excellent. I included some pics.
I know very little about military surplus rifles so Id see if...
I'll second the CZ82. Very unpleasant to shoot. Was going to use it as a ccw but it was heavy for its size, and I had trouble getting it to feed Hornady HPs reliably so I sold it.

Cant beat the price and cs of White Label. No experience with others because I tried WL and Im extremely happy with them. I use BAC and carnauba red. Great stuff!

25+?? Really?? You guys are nuts! I only have two, but Ive only been reloading for a few years. I have a Rockchucker and a 3 hole turret Lee. No progressive yet. Eventually, but I enjoy the slower...

Or some Wolf MT (same stuff). If you find a good lot it'll shoot as good as the premium Lapua/Eley. And for what people are paying for bulk .22lr, you might as well get some SK/Wolf.
Doesnt...

One kit is enough for several 455/452s.... and trust me. There will be more! haha

I like the Winchester because its a Winchester, but the design of 336 imo is a superior design. I guess if I could only one one rifle and those were my two choices Id go with the Marlin.
Forum: Leverguns
You got REALLY lucky! I've only seen maybe a half dozen come up in my state (OHIO) in the past several years, and I look frequently. Usually priced between $750-1000.
I did manage to bag one for...

I experienced the dreaded Marlin Jam with 1894c. It's where the cam on the lever puts a gouge in the carrier. Once it's there, it doesn't matter what bullet, what case, how fast or slow you cycle the...

Following this thread. I'm looking into getting my first mold for my Henry big boy steel in .44mag.

I don't think it's a generation thing. Certainly younger people tend to be less patient, but not all of us. I'm 30.
This is the internet age but thats a good thing. If this guy knew where to look...
Forum: Cast Boolits
Thanks for all the advice guys. This mold is labeled on the outside "3x3 split", which is what the original owner said it was. I didnt even know what that was when I bought it but apparently 3 are...

Sorry. I guess I should've provided more info. This is a .359 mold and I'll be shooting these out of my Marlin 1894c .357 rifle. I'm considering trying the powder coat thing with these.
Forum: Cast Boolits
So I made a trade with a gentlemen on a fbook page for this mold (Lee 6 cavity), forgetting to ask whether it was the GC version (what I really wanted). Turned out to be the plain base.
Can I get...
Forum: Boolit Lube !
Hi guys. I just got into casting and I ordered me first bullet mold that is a tumble lube design (Ranch Dog 359-175) and was wondering if you can still lubricate it using a Lyman 450 or if that's a...

CZs are absolutely addicting. I think I've had about a half dozen 452/455s, still have my 527 Varmint in .223, and they're 75 variants are probably my favorite 9mm handguns Ive ever shot.
Forum: Leverguns
Anyone try the Ranch Dog 358-175? Its suppose to be great in the 1894c (built for it apparently). I'd like to get a hold of a mold to try it out.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Hi guys.
I just started casting so forgive the stupid questions. Today I was casting a couple dozen pure lead bullets to use for slugging my barrels and they came out really shiny. The bullets...
