Slugged the bore and it measured .404. Someone had mentioned having good luck with 9.5 gr Unique @ 1325 w/210.Was spot on, ES was only 15 fps.
Bored out a Lee sizer to .4055 and resized some 41 mag...

Thanks for the info. Rcbs made dies as well. Have 41 mag bullets that I can size down. Grafs has brass if anyone is looking for some. Will be fun to get her going, probably been 100 years since it's...

Appears the 40-65 is based on the 45-70, 40-60 is its own thing. May be able to get by with a bushing neck die. Have some jameson brass coming, will have a better idea then.

Want to start loading for a 1876 40-60, dies seem to be difficult to find. Wondering if 40-65 dies from the 1886 can be used. Brass / bullets are not a problem supriseingly. If anyone has a line on...

Recently shot some swaged PD 148 hbwc through a DW 357 barrel that was previously fowled with Hitek coated bullets. I noticed I didn't get any leading from the soft hbwc. I would normally just get a...
I use a precision delta 148 hbwc in my Davis model 10. These groups were with 2.9 Bullseye but I get similar results with WST and Titegroup. They are around 750 fps.

Unique works fine....1 1/2" groups at 50 yd. 7.5 gr/140 HC .358 dia, LP primer. Neck sized, roll crimp (xp100)...
I seat LP .010 deeper than LR, which is the difference in primer thickness. Haven't noticed any lag.
Zero difference in accuracy with mouse fart loads. 35 rem / Titegroup.
Great to hear! Can't imagine TG not working in any med case. Going try some TG/Oregon 150's in my 300 blkout, was not impressed with unique.
Tried DEWC in mine as well, but with Unique with great results @ 25 yd. Those HB would bout take a squirrels head off I bet...lol Next batch I'll load up some.
I almost picked up an old Rem 600...
Tried the load at 100 yds today with the magnetospeed attached. Very impressive SD 3, ES 9, AV 1086 fps. Drop the load a tenth or two and call it good.
I have a Wichita bolt pistol in 7mm Ihmsa...
Thanks 725.... a wealth of info on this site. Thought some members would be interested in my results.
The unavailablity of Unique was getting old, was time to move on! Titegroup is cleaner, no leading despite the bullets being the "wrong" size so it must form a good seal. Have tried Universal as...
Been looking for a bullseye accurate cast load for my xp100 35 rem with components I already had on hand (Oregon trail 140 FP .358). Unique was close, grouping around 1 1/2" for 10 at 50yds but being...
