Thanks to everyone for the information, especially for the load data provided.
The rifle is a Henry steel. I have other powders but I've got 8 lbs of W296 that has been taking up space for about 40 years and I'd like to use some of that. I have not extrapolated from J-bullet...
Can anyone point me to data as requested above. I have multiple manuals-no luck. Same with online manuals.
I do not leave anything in the molds. Do not oil either. i wrap them in VCI paper and store inside my house. one is an H&G from the bicycle shop which I got from my father-in-law. He never stored...

Thanks for all the replies. CastingFool thanks for the measurement.

Has anyone measured? Henry tells me that is proprietary information and they will not provide. Thank you.

Could be that the friend has a 7mm-08 which is also not a 280 Remington. Good luck.

I do not lube straight wall cartridges; I lube 357 sig which has a baby bottleneck. I do load clean brass only.

Shooters on another site say they are getting good service out of the TT-15; better than I would have thought. Both of the guns you asked about. are from Turkey. the orion was made by SKB in the...
To answer the original question, used boxes. Get some blank mailing labels so you can write down and mark the amount of shot (1oz etc), primer, powder and weight of same, and wad.

Hmmm. I agree twin bars feel better. But I still pick a Model 12 because it points better for me than my 870. My pick for worst is a Win model 1200. My brother bought one and it unlocked itself and...
I use to compete in sporting clays. I found the best value for the money was a mec 9000 hydraulic. Yes, the primer feed is a pain in the butt but if you pause at the end of the stroke you will have...

Iron for me. I store them in those protective sheets that use to come with Smith and Wesson handguns. Never had a rust issue.

UPDATE: contacted Bruce as suggested. Sent him a pic and he advised I was missing a part. Fixed me up to original condition very quickly and at a reasonable price. Thanks everyone.

A Lyman 401043 is a .401 flat nose, 175 gr bullet originally designed for 38/40 winchester rifle. It feeds the best in various 40's that I shoot and is accurate as well.
"I'll vote for the Lyman 401043 (175 gr) designed for the 38-40 . I consider it fantastic in both 40 and 10 mm"
Me too.

I shoot pc'ed projectiles out of glock 9's, 40's and 45's. No problem. I also shoot lead w/o problems but I clean the barrels after every range trip.

I have found that the 401403 feeds great in various 40's. I have it in both 2 cavity and 4 cavity. I believe it was originally made for winchester 38-40
rifles. So there are quite a few old ones...
