This new batch is a mixture of brass colored, and silver colored. I'm going to contact Powder Valley, which is where I bought them, and see what they have to say.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
loaded ammo is classified different than primers or powder.

Sorry Mike, I couldn't find a better section.
I would have to have a hazmat because they are no longer accepting the empty boxes, and now require you to ship the boxes AND the primers back. To...

I have been waiting and waiting for a packet that was promised to me by Wolf Ammunition. In the packet was to be shipping tags for me to send back the empty boxes from the last batch of defective...

Ok, I admit I didn't read all the posts, but they were getting a little sideways. First, if anybody wants to dump a Pro 1000 I will be more than happy to take it. Next, I have to argue the point that...

I have done it three time and really enjoy it. I didn't agree with every single thing, but for the most part it is very good training. Expect to be tired when it's all over.

With your skills I would rather build it than buy it no matter what. I'm a huge fan of your work!

Yep. Once filled and the lid is snapped on it pivots down to a horizontal running position, then it rotates so it's all under the bench. When it's done running it rotates back out, the lid comes off,...

I think it's fine. My set up is made from 3/4" particle board but to be honest the bottom is two layers glued and screwed together, but it has no legs and is still very rigid.

I hate CCI primer for just that reason. They are way too hard to seat for my taste. Wolf and Winchester slide right in for me, but I'm going to try the spacer just to see the difference.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
I see. Well I bet it would be simple to mock something up as a spacer to at least try it. Can't hurt to try, right.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
So you are just making "priming" happen at a different portion of the handle stroke?
Forum: Reloading Equipment
I checked mine last night and with the handle all the way up / shell plate all the way down, the primer seater hex is bottomed out on the cast base of the press, so I don't understand what the spacer...

I use the #1 plate for 45ACP tightened all the way down and it doesn't bind. If the plate is not advancing all the way you need to adjust the two little dogs on the toggle.

Mine uses a 5 gallon bucket with four mixing paddles and turns at 30 RPM. Works great.

I called Lee today and told them what happened. They are sending me a new die body for free. No need to send the old one in because they are aware of a small batch of 9mm dies that had this problem,...

By the way, I have no connection with LNLPTX. I just use their product and I'm a firm believer in passing the word on when something works right.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
In case anybody has this same question, I just got off the phone with Lee and they say that the dies are the same. They just add the FCD to the box.
Do you have a picture, or can you give a description? I'm sure no matter what it is, someone here will know.

If you cast faster your mold will stay hotter.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
Can someone verify something for me? Is the Lee four die delux set the same as the three die set with just a factory crimp die added, or is the bullet seating die actually different?
Forum: Reloading Equipment
The LNLPTX unit has a more gentle taper, and fits just about every case made. Some of the other units have a steep taper and just flare the very end of the brass, which is harder on the brass. This...
