More details on what you are using, what are you meaning by "core seater almost always sticks to the pin"? Is the core seated in the jacket and when ejected from the die is it 'stuck' to the core...

I would think it could be used to get a 'relative' value. Have you tried it on different annealed batches or different brands of brass?

Good to hear. Might try a bigger bleed hole(s) to get the pressure to use the bleed hole(s) before blow by. Just a WAG on my part. Lead flows from pressure but it needs to heat up so it can flow. ...

Maybe with the longer arm you are creating pressure faster and you are getting 'blow by' at the punch AND the bleed holes? Go slower or put the old arm back and see what happens.

What are you doing to prep the luger cases? Is the core seat external punch from Richard? Designed for luger or copper jackets?

Richard made a nice caliber specific trim die for his presses. You would just need to talk him into making it for you. :)

I would go for the Walnut Hill-2 or the Walnut Hill-50 if thinking of 50 BMG. I have an older Walnut Hill and Sea Girt that make me smile when I use them.

Just bought some 9mm but have not used them yet. Need to make a core swage die.
