What kind of pressure are you thinking? If it exceeds .38 Special +P then it could still be loaded into a gun that won't handle it.

All my late model Rugers have been great so far. Hope my luck continues! I did unhook one leg of the hammer return spring and now the pull is really nice.

Wow, looks really nice. I've always thought the Turks should get into the levergun business.
I totally agree with you, unfortunately the ammo makers know that some dummy is going to load one of these super shorties into grandpa's top break and blow himself to bits. I've often thought that a...

Thanks, will do! I chronographed some ammo yesterday. Federal plated 40 grain ran 1034 fps, about what I expected. Aguila Interceptor 40 grain did not disappoint! 1215 fps and 131 fpe, that's almost...

Very sorry to hear this, said a prayer for you and yours.

I'm wondering if the point of impact will shift as the barrel breaks in and I get more accustomed to the gun. The trigger pull on mine is fairly stiff and creepy, but should smooth out over time.

Bailed out the Super Wrangler today and took it for a test drive after work. From the get go it seems to be as accurate as the Single Six I used to have. I did paint the front sight white to make it...

Got hit with a bunch of bills the past few months but should be able to pick up mine today. Look forward to trying it out, I wonder if it will like the same ammo my rifles like.
I've had several Charters and never had a bit of trouble with them. Currently have two Undercovers, one from the 70's and one from the 2010's. Both are excellent and I do carry them for defense. That...

I would think that zinc would work fine if PC and/or plenty of good boolit lube. A coat of LLA would probably help too. I might try 'em out sometime. If you hunt in a lead-free area it would probably...

I've often wondered if it is possible to make useful boolits out of zinc. It does seem to have alot going for it. Reasonable cost, melts easily, casts ok, fairly hard. I would think that a zinc...

Gave my late model 10/22 some exercise yesterday. At 35 yards offhand it will make .75" groups no problem in spite of the dummy pulling the trigger!

Given what was in vogue at the time as far as huge cheekpieces and white line spacers, I wouldn't be surprised if that carving was a factory option for a minute or two. It would go well with your...

If I'm not mistaken, most .250-3000 ammo has been watered down to not much more than .30-30 pressure level as has the .300 Savage. Obviously one can push either one harder with reloads. The Savage 99...

I've had two 464's and thought that both were very competent, certainly no worse than the 336 and 94 of the past 20 years.

I think that's why the 1972 1895 I had never shot too well with boolits. Lands and grooves so fine and shallow that it looked like it had been rifled with a Sharpie.

I had a beautiful 1972 that was never more than minute of deer at 50 yards with boolits. It had very thin micro-groove rifling and I suspect it was a bit overbore. It was an honest 98% gun purchased...

God be with you guys. My dad went on a mission trip to Haiti and the poverty that those folks have to deal with, and the sheer resilience they have, is just staggering.
Tisas is no joke, we instantly sell out as soon as we get them in at my side job. No returns that I am aware of and way nicer than the RIA guns for the same price.
College friend had a Beretta 96. Very sweet shooter, the only .40 I can say I enjoyed shooting. Endless failure to feed/eject with most kinds of ammo, but 100% with one type that was a bit hotter and...
Love my Taurus 856! Carries as easy as a J frame, six shots, as easy to shoot as a K frame. Ruger, why didn't you come up with this gun? All it would take is opening up the SP-101 a bit which is...
