I’ll have to say that my classic model has been 100% reliable. No complaints there and I do believe it to be a well made firearm I just can’t shoot it as well as I would like.

I have both the 5" and 4". I have to admit I'm much better with the 357 mag cartridge in a revolver. I have to really watch how I press the trigger on the Coonan or I start to pull my shots. I have...
I had a no dash 629 with the same problem. At 50yds it shot 2’ high with 240gr factory ammo and 16” high with factory 180’s. I took it to the local Smith and he told me there’s no fix. So it went...
Forum: Casting Equipment
Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but I have one of these machines and would like any information I can get on it. Does anyone know where to find parts? I called Magma and was told "not our...
Not a bad idea. My buddy and I are going to split a table at the Sauk Center show. So maybe I’ll see some fellow members there.
I just sold them individually. There's not a lot of interest in round ball moulds around here or in casting stuff in general. I think I sold five. Markopolo I appreciate the try! I hope the one you...
That was me. Those are the moulds I had on swap & sell some time ago.
I still haven’t seen the revolver yet but I think I better let it go. There’s always another one. Thanks to all that posted.
I talk to him today and he still insists that the sights are Bisley sights and we’re done at the factory. Does anyone have a picture of an original Bisley sighted Smith and Wesson triple lock?
Thanks to all that replied! JB i appreciate the blue book info.
I’m not going to lie I’m really starting to get cold feet on this one. $3500 is no small chunk of change to me and I would have to sell quite a few guns in order to fund this one. You know the saying...
Unfortunately I have not handle it yet. This is a guy that I hang out with a lot of gun shows but he does live quite a ways away for me.
I had a friend approach me interested in selling a Smith and Wesson triple lock 44 special. The price he was asking seemed reasonable at $3500 since he said it was a rare revolver made for the Bisley...
I have that issue I'll post a picture of the data. I think it went to 135gr.
Forum: CB Loads / Military Rifles
Thanks to moleman I’m playing with a 357 max Ar! One of the great things about ARs is the wildcats. For the price of a barrel and maybe a bolt head there’s a ton of cool cartridges to get the most...

I had a monster buck walk a couple of feet behind me. I was sitting on a line fence with my 44mag revolver in my lap and about 10min before shooting hours I hear a deer walking towards me off to my...
Haven’t you watched Jurassic World? You’re gonna need that 500 magnum. LOL
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
Not sure when I’ll get back to this but will post results.
Forum: Gas Checks
I found some 25cal Sierra gas checks at a gun show awhile ago and they are to small. I’m wondering if they are 243 checks miss packaged? The inside of the cup measures.240. The shanks on my two...
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
I do have a thermometer but was not using it at the time. My Lee 4–20 part was at Maxx. I could flux with wax and it would start to alloy but once the wax burned off it was back to slush

I wasn't planning on getting rid of the whole 1000lbs just the lead I contaminated. Maybe 30lbs tops. I planned to do as you suggested and keep the temp down as I clean the scrap.
