Thanks Gary, I calculated the VMD and using the chart I was correct in selecting the .43, also I am wicked impressed with the Auto-Disk... I weighed every 10 charges and they were spot on each time.

Hi all, I am looking for some insight on a problem I am having with my first attempt at casting/reloading for .45ACP and my first time using the Lee Auto-Disk measure.
I have some Lee TL230...

Oh no. I use a steel pot. I put a wet towel in the bottom of the aluminum pot to knock my boolits into. It came with the turkey fryer, so it was free game :)

Thats awesome! I wish I had someone to work with, must make the time go by better.
What do you use for a pot that takes an ingot so big? I like the ingot molds too!

I do what the directions say. I lube them, size them and lube them again. I have also learned to wear a rubber glove on my left hand... that alox gets stuck under the nail of my booger hook and stays...

Kinda fascinating to be honest... lol... I am not sure what I obsessed about more, keeping track of my 7.62x39 brass or digging out my boolits to see how well that held up.

Man, it finally got warm in Maine and I was able to get some warm weather casting done!!
I was encouraged about my production AND future possibilities!

Everytime I pull the trigger I cry a tear for the WW that gave it's life.
I have about 2 5 gallon buckets, and about 3/4 of a milk crate full of ingots. (Small, Lyman ingots for using in Lee 10#...

I am a rookie, but I have loaded about 500-750 9mm, .357 and .38's using Universal Clays. It seems to work well.

Just got back from the range with my Chinese/Type 56 SKS. I tested the following load and it functioned flawlessly and shot accurately, which was a pleasant surprise because I have ran wolf and...

Actuall SS, I was only buying .22's for a while because it was all I could afford to shoot. I am trading one of my stock 10/22's to get my old S&W 659 back!! I loved that gun.

Thats a pisser. It is my 995 I was looking forward to casting for the most. I will be using 125g RN 2 0give... think that will make a difference?

Yeah, it doesn't look too tough. Another step to learn, I love it!
And I will try not to raid the kitchen for the cookie sheets and wax paper like I did for the ladle and measuring cup :)
