Yes. Millimeters.
Awesome work! Well beyond my abilities.
Something i could see Jmorris do though :)
Beautiful!
Where do you live? Just out of curiosity.... And your trade is?
That's just my hobby.
To design your draw die and punch and coining die is there a computer program to figure volume and dimensions or just trial and error ..how did you determine those figures ? I have some of corbins software programs for jacket drawing but they wont operate on my 64 bit computer or aren't compatible with my version of windows . So I have wondered where one comes up with these from ?
That is some quality looking work there ! I would love to figure some of this type of stuff out better but not working with it daily puts some of us at a disadvantage .
This is an approximate design path in QCAD and its gradual modification. I have my lathe, round grinder, tool grinder, milling machine. This is my big advantage. I don't have a technical education, and in my free time I had to learn to work with all the machines (I broke a lot, destroyed it and threw away the failed ones. I still have something to learn). I like to do it, and recognition from others drives me forward.
What type of grinder did you use to make the draw punches ?
Would you have info or pics ? I would like to learn more and possibly add this type machine to my shop to play with if I knew what to look for on the 2nd hand market .
I purchased a dumore tool post grinder for my lathe but hadn't had much luck operating it to duplicate what you have done though I may not have the right grinding tooling for it if that is how you do this .
As I mentioned I am self taught and have limited experience and even more limited sources teaching this . If you would care to share this info I would sure appeciate the knowledge .
Again that is fine looking work and I'd like to eventually be able to do something similar . So far I boought several machine tools just to try to learn how but not to that point yet - hopefully one day though .
baddoglowder, Just so you know, kutil is using Google translate to post here, so you should probably keep your posts to him rather short and specific. The translate program doesn't always interpret the words we use into an understandable sentence on the other end, and vice versa.:veryconfu
Hope this helps.

As a novice in reloading world, I do not yet understand the mechanics of how brass cartridges are made.
But you sir, have great talent. Thank you for sharing some of it with us.
Beautiful work, Kutil.
My new (older) lathe. Now I have to learn everything and maybe it will make my job easier in the future.

I ran quick turn 15, 10 years ago. You can do a lot with them
I bought this old press about 8 years ago. He has 8 surgeries. So I'll try to convert it to FMJ.Attachment 302584Attachment 302765
I can't even imagine what you can build from this wreck,
but with your skill it will surely be something extraordinary !
