My new Ruger wrangler shoots about 4” low, anyone try and file down the front sight blade. Seems about everyone complains about the same issue.
Anything after market available to fix this?

My first one needed about a sixteenth filed from the front sight to get it right. My second one was on from the get go. I mostly use Mini Mags.

Do your calculation before you start filing … https://www.brownells.com/aspx/learn...aspx?lid=13093.
I for one would like for all the revolvers to come with a front sight that is a little too high. That way you can adjust it by judicious filing. It is a lot harder to go the other way on a sight that is too short. my .02 anyway, james
Mine is dead on thank god!
It is really not that big of a deal to take a file to it. Obviously go slow, and shoot in between. What could be better than more shooting and POI moving in the right direction? If you are not that skilled with a file, I'd practice a little bit first. Good luck.
Yep, I had to file mine down a bit.
You can use the calculator above or remember CRED. Correction is Radius times Error divided by Distance. Convert all factors to inches before crunching numbers
I filed mine down until it was dead on, shoots great.
