I was looking through a 1970 Herter's catalog and stumbled on this. I've been looking into checks and have been hit with sticker shock. I need a time machine. LOL

$2.50 in 1970 is equal to $16.33 today. It would still be a deal!
Hey as long as your going back in time pick me up a Snake gun and a S&W 629 and a couple of 1911
thanks
I have a hard time understanding why gas checks should cost so much. Somebody please tell me why?
Yes, if you’re going back in time pick up 10 of those M1 Garands and M1 carbines advertised in the 60s and early 70s for $69.95 a piece. I guess that was a lot of money back then when folks were making less than $2 an hour.
They are over priced for sure. Almost as much as primers. Thing is you really don't need them except for hunting loads.
