i used to luv them!!!!!!!!!! just give me some hot sauce, oyster, dark ale and just keep them coming!!!!!!!!!
until the gout got me and got me, it did!!!!! the pain in my knee joints was worse than when i strained the knee tendons and ligaments(yes, i got them all at one time. the right foot went one way, while the rest of me went another way).
i don't have a meter in my head that will tell you, you have had enuff. instead, it tells me, just one more!!! so i avoid oysters, but...........mmmmmm they are goooooooooooooooood.

mullet, until the onslaught of people from up north and every one of em with a new super high powered flats boat, schools of mullet so huge you could catch 100 pounds or more with each throw of a good sized cast net in matlacha pass. a plant eater that usually were 1-2' long, very oily fish with a great flavor when brined and smoked.

Best cocktail sauce for them is made with fresh ground horseradish. If you haven’t ever tried fresh ground horseradish you should.

I'm not a fan of raw oysters, but I have eaten them. My bil used to shuck them and sautee in butter with garlic and onions. That was good, but breaded deep fried oysters are the very best!
