I probably run several thousand rifle boolits per year and the last two weekends I have sent 20 Lb of lead into the berm 200 grains at a time so who knows?
I probably go close to 5k, mostly in revolvers but some in rifles. Nearly everything I shoot is cast so that really cuts down on my shooting time. I salvage most of my lead, make my own lube so it doesn't cost me much per shot. Truth be told building the ammo is about as much fun as shooting it up.
Hi my name is Mal
I have a 12K per year habit.............well maybe a bit more. 99.9% Revolver / My own cast.
Don't know why I came to this meeting, I can stop anytime.
Nevermind.
I've got 90 acres to shoot on so we do a lot of it. Pistols, Rifles, Muzzle Loaders, Shot guns, clay birds, you name it. I do salvage as much lead as I can. Also live close to a public outdoor range I like to hit a couple of Times a month to shot and to salvage brass, lead etc.
Luckily, Im about 5 miles from state land, so, I shoot quite a bit. 5-10k
I voted the 1k -5k and I see that I'm in the majority with the rest of you .
If I can ever afford to retire I'm sure that my round count will go up.
Most all of what I shoot I cast myself. A few condoms here and there.
.22, .357, .45, .30, .40,.50 rb , and .54 rb.

It is no big to deal to burn through 250 round of 45acp per range visit, so more than a thousand is easy. Just wish I could get to the range more than once every couple of months.
HI,
3-4,000 a summer.:Fire::Fire:
The last few years I have been over 20K.
12.5K in 45acp last year.
7K 22rf.
About 800 9mm.
1.2K shells shooting clays.
500 slugs
200 OO Buck shot.
200 38spec.
This year I am going to cut back. I going to work on inventory for now.
Probably 1 to 2 thousand a year. Probably 20 thousand a year 25 years ago and now that I just retired I plan to return to my old habit.
Mainly .45 ACP with a couple K .223 also like to shoot the cannon as much as possible. But shot and powder plus getting it out limits that to around 100 rds a year.
On average over 10K per year, with at least 95% being cast.
Not as much as I used to. When I was shooting CAS, I would run through 1000rds/m just for me, then the wife & son, 3K/m was not unusual. Now I am shooting IDPA. BEtween that & plinking & training, close to 10K rds/yr. Mostly 45acp, but I load for 20+ calibers, so a little of everything.
These last few years i have been lucky to have people give me 10s of 1000s of rounds of old/old ammo.
Lets just say it has been interesting...
Hello to all.
I shoot about 11000 - 14000 9x21 in my IPSC training and competitions plus about 6000 in
.308W, 6,5x52 carcano, .223R, 7.65 Parabellum anbd other.
All in one year.
Ciao
Nino
I put down for 5-10K, most of that in various rifle and pistol caliber for IHMSA. I also do a little Metallic Rifle. and CAS. I am getting back into trapshooting after a 7 years break, so after this year I will easily be in the 20+K group. I know 7 years ago I would easily register 5-8K in birds, figure at least double that in practice so between 15-24K in a summer shooting the shotgun. Yes I reload for the shotgun but no I don't cast for it.
From my personal guns I try to shoot 1K/month. Most of which is my 44mag and 1911.
But the best year I had was 13,200 rounds of 105mm- in afghanistan....
