Please a Model 336 in .35 Remington and let's get the 1894's on the market!
Ruger is not going to remove the cross bar saftey, That is a Federal thing that went into effect in 1981, if I remember corectly.

FWIW I put a rubber O ring around the end of all my crossbolt attorney approved safeties. Easy to install and remove. If you don’t need/want a threaded barrel put the included thread protector on with red Locktite and forgetaboutit.
I have several .45/70 guns, with castboolits it’s relatively easy to concoct deer loads that recoil like a 20ga and put venison in the freezer. It’s a grand reloaders cartridge.
Having said all that and defended Ruger in the past for starting with the 1895 SBL because that’s the current darling of the Marlin lineup, I’d like to see an 1894 in .44 with a proper modern .44 barrel, and some .357’s, and some .41’s, and you get the picture.
I’m betting the next gun we see is either an 1895 in .444 or a 336 in .35 Rem.
Editing to add;
After reading Ruger’s description, this “Guide Gun” has a six round mag tube, pistol grip stock and big loop lever, making it more of a GBL than a Guide. Really all the upgrade/wants a lot of folks said the 1895G should have had.
