Are these ofany value.

I have these 30cal 150gr fmj bullets. 1 box of 100 & another of 61. They are military . Just wondering if they had any special value , or should I just shoot them?Attachment 297439Attachment 297440

If you look long enough, you'll find people that will collect anything. Personally, If you have an 06 laying around, I'd shoot them. Just my opinion.

Beyond just the novelty- no, they're not some super valuable treasure.

I keep a few odds & ends like those and might buy some if they're real cheap.
No so much to use or shoot, but just because they're cool to have and look at once in awhile.

Most auctions I have seen, these don't bring a premium. Since they are M2 these would have to date from the 1940s at the earliest, and to be a revision 16 of the drawing, most likely, much later than that. They're neat, but unless you can find a 30-06 bullet collector, I would just shoot 'em. They were probably sold by the DCM back when..........

Back in the day the DCM used to sell these. We used them in the lab to do step-down velocity tests to evaluate penetration resistance of vehicle doors, cockpits, etc. If you have a large quantity of 500 or more PM me and I'd make an offer. Otherwise they are an affordable collectible.

Thanks all. I have had these for years. Just the two boxes of 161 total. Thought if they were important as far as history goes, they might be nice to pass on. Thought the boxes were cool. So. guess I will just plink them at targets as time goes on. I do have an 06 & a couple of 308"s.

Boxes may sell better than the bullets. Shoot them up sell boxes.

I had a couple boxes of them.... If you have what I think you have, they are copper plated steel jacketed bullets.. test em with a magnet..

and lie other have said, shoot up the bullets, and sell the boxes!

"Shooting Wares" for those who shoot particularly M1A (M-14) and M1 Garand in matches or training. Reloaded and fired many thousands in each. Nothing special - but you could give them to your grandkids so that in 2080 they will be collectables.

I couldn’t get the link to open, but agree with others that there isn’t any particular added value to them.
