I bought a couple different boxes of bullets and happen to notice one of the boxes was old. It is Speer Silver Match bullets
I have never heard or seen them.
The bullets are .224 52 gr BTHP and they are silver

A blast from the past, haven't seen any of those in years.
Shot many of those "back in the day" out of my 222 Remington M788 and M700V 223 Remington. Superb accuracy and deadly on varmints.
My M722 in 222 loved those things....dale

I think Speer also had a Gold Match that was marketed along with the others. Then, no more.
Shot some Calhoon bullets that were silver about 15 years ago. I have never came across any silver Speer bullets.
I still have some Silver Match along with the similar Remington 52 gr. Match. I don't know when Speer discontinued these, but it's probably been more than forty years.
Never seen any but they would probably work good on killing vampires and warewolves.
Hundreds of prairie dogs had no complaint on these.
