"Name this unfrosty bullet"?? I'd name him George. :)
Denny
Looks like a H&G 503
well, it has the large lube groove and squareish ... perhaps this one is the ideal 429421.... i dont believe it to be the heath target 429336 due to the larger lube groove. but what do I know.....
and I believe the H&G mould was the 503???
Looks like the Keith 429421

Arsenal 429421 SWC 255 Gr. KEITH
I think it's a Lyman 429421. Not the original but modified with the smaller front band. Still retaining the square lube groove though.
Frank. I choose to name it Frank.
Thanks to all of you guys who responded. I have written down all of the suggestions and will, in a few days choose a name from the list to name it. I will let all of you know the name I choose.
Again thank you to all of you. Your time is appreciated.

Harry as in dirty
Why stick with something plain for a name?
How about "Beelzebub the Slayer" or "Bartholomew the Battering Ram"
Elmer's Spawn #44, Elmer was a busy man.
It may be RCBS, the front driving band doesn't look wide enough. But it's not the Lyman 429421. Lyman's version of the Keith Type uses a very narrow front driving band, and rounded lube grooves. Elmer got upset at Lyman for modifying his bullet design. Which was wide front band and squared lube grooves.
Yes, not a Keith design. Too narrow of a front driving band and rounded grooves. Neither of which Elmer wanted anything to do with.
Keith wanta bee #2
Looks like more of a 'Clyde' to me.
It is a Hensley and Gibbs 503. Funny isn't it.
Thanks for the heads up. I thought all H&G 503 were three equal driving bands. When I am lookin on ebay I'll be looking close.
Maybe you missed this conversation?

does that mean I win the Mould????:lovebooli
What was the point naming the mold or naming the bullet , Unfrosty the not a snowman , or not a keith , and even the H&G man missed it funny , but should we all post guess this bullet , did not even compare it to lyman 429421 , but with all the custom 44 mag bullet molds and not even shooting them anymore . Nice looking bullet , frost not needed , as to being spoiled by good molds that is a fact NOE MP and Arsenal are all on shelf along with others I do not feel left out on quality compared to H&G , a good mold and one that is accurate is not dependent on name .
I never meant or said anything implying anyone was ignorant , I was actually poking fun along with those giving the bullet a name , I did imply that if a given style that is commonly referred to as a keith shoots well brand and number and name to me do not matter , I have quite a few molds in that style , and last few years I do not cast or shoot them , as I commented even the person who has a 503 missed the guess , and with all the variations and makers it is a guessing game .
Interpreting posts is sometimes a strange thing as one knows what one is thinking as typing but it does not always come out the same to others reading it , I am not a collector of molds or reloading shooting stuff , it is all for the shooting and sooner or later I may go back to loading 44 , and then the bullets already cast will get loaded and new ones cast .
Original ideal 429 421 as Elmer designed it in 1928.
We should name him Elmer !!
