He really enjoyed this forum, and it is with great sadness that I need to let you know he passed away a couple of nights ago. I was wondering what happened. He was concerned about a roter rooter operation on his carotid arteries. Usually those are not a major issue but it is a serious operation. I am very sorry to see him go.
Another good man gone on to a higher calling and greater rewards.
I'm already missing his posts.

I am facing a scary time next week and ask for your prayers and thoughts next Wednesday.
I'm 80 so any surgery can be tricky but this has me a bit on edge. I've had 2 strokes in the past 2 months and one TIA as well. Only some minor residual damage so lucky there. The Cardiologist, the Neurologist and the Vascular surgeon are all in agreement I need to have the Carotid artery surgery to remove plaque from the artery as that seems to be the origin of the clots giving me the strokes.
All the doctors involved are top line doctors...long experience and highly thought of so I'm comfortable with that....my concern is age and also some breathing issues like my COPD that sort of complicate things....
Please help me accept things as they are and have the faith that God is guiding the surgeon's hands

That second thread about the dishwasher was painful to read. Glad I live somewhere that's universally friendly and respectful and I'm sorry that gentleman had to endure that. I dread getting old and Bob handled it with more grace and dignity than most it seems.Quote:
