Thank you everyone for the prayers. Dad was 93, his health started failing at the end of May. In Gods kindness and mercy he passed without pain.
God Bless You all.

His victory is complete , he is home . Praying for recovery of your great loss through all the good memories he left behind . Still praying for you and your family .
Gee whiz, BR. I'm so sorry to hear this! God bless you and all the family and loved ones, and may his Peace be upon all of you. It's so hard to lose the "good ones" in one's life. But you'll all meet again. That is assured.
Thank you all for the prayers. Dad is at peace.
When a man's father and/or mother pass, it's a landmark event in any person's life. In my own case, both my Dad and my Mom seemed to clearly just decide they'd had enough suffering, trying to hang on. So .... they just let go, and if there's one thing they taught me well, it was that when THEY made up THEIR minds, all I could and should do was just accept it. Yeah, my eyes teared up, and I felt a big ol' hole where they'd fit into my life, but I could NOT begrudge them their decision. I know they were both well into God's grace. That made acceptance of it all much easier, but we cray for OUR loss, not theirs. It's not inappropriate to cry at one's own losses, but it's important that we realize it's OUR loss, and not theirs. My eyes still want to mist up thinking about losing both of them, but I try to honor them by not letting it show. God bless you and the whole family, and may God send His comfort to you all. Amen.
Prayers for you and your family. Speaking from my experience you never forget, but it it does get easier. I was eleven when my dad passed, I am now eighty. I hardly knew him.

Amen to all the prayers of the faithful here!
Bill, my sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to you and your family at the loss of your father.
I remember my father passing. Drowned in a boating accident. Fishing boat sank and he got one guy to shore and swam back out for the other. Neither made it back. It is always surprising when it happens and after the stunned disbelief shock sets in before the sadness.
A few years ago my mother, oldest sister and nephew all died the same year. Your faith will see you through
Prayers for you and yours.
